4 Modular Tables MODULAR TABLES ARE OUR MOST POPULAR MAILROOM TABLE DESIGN AS IT HAS BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH STRENGTH AND DURABILITY BY UTILIZING A 4 POST LEG CONSTRUCTION WITH SIDE AND BACK PANELS. This heavy-duty table can be outfitted with a storage shelf and lockable sliding doors. Storage below the work surface allows you to hide away messy boxes, packaging material and miscellaneous office supplies, while keeping your mailroom space organized and uncluttered. These accessories allow you to design a workstation to accommodate your specific mailroom requirements. Modular tables are available in three sizes adjusting from 29" to 36" high and can withstand up to 1500 lbs. All mailroom components can be added to the modular table and stacked for maximum sorting capability. Sorters can be stacked up to two units high on the table surface and can be used with one of three size risers available. A riser can be used to lift sorting modules off the table surface to leave space for machines, work space, packaging materials and boxes etc. As outlined in the photograph on the left, all three table variations are shown. 5 Standard Tables STANDARD TABLES ARE ONE OF OUR MORE POPULAR PRODUCTS THAT ENABLE CUSTOMERS TO CREATE A SMALLER MAIL UNIT WHEN DEALING WITH A SET BUDGET OR SPACE RESTRICTIONS. These value priced tables are available in three sizes and can be outfitted with all modular mailroom components. They are not offered with a storage shelf and / or sliding doors. They have a fixed height of 29" high and can be used for storing documents and / or mailing accessories, sorting and processing mail and are a great workstation for small mailing machines and scales. 6 Height Adjustable Mailroom Tables A HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE WORK TABLE IS AN ERGONOMICALLY CORRECT SOLUTION FOR THOSE BUSY MAILROOM LAYOUTS. These tables adjust from 29" to 38" high with the ease of a crank handle which incorporates precision steel gears and transmissions for a maintenance-free operation and smooth adjustments. To keep the work area safe, the handle neatly tucks away under the work surface when not in use. This convenient table design can be incorporated into all mailroom layouts for the flexibility of raising or lowering the work surface to accommodate the individual working at that station at any given time. The height adjustable table is available in two sizes and has a cohesive appearance to all Calstone mailroom components. 1. Crank Handle The crank handle is located under the table surface and can be tucked away when not in use. When height adjustments are required, the crank handle pulls out and can easily be manoeuvre to adjust table to the desired height. When completed, push crank inward and turn handle towards the back of the table for safe storage. 2 & 3. Table Adjustment These photographs demonstrate the height adjustment of the table at a low and high elevation. The adjustment gears are enclosed within the leg panels, with hand crank assembly in upper left or right leg mounting channel, as required. A steel rod mechanism provides the power transfer between the left and right height adjustable legs. Our height adjustable work tables can withstand up to 500 lbs and are manufactured with a four piece steel frame. Nylon levelling glides are included and have a 1" adjustability to assist in levelling out your table. These adjustable tables are available in two standard sizes 45-1/2" and 68" wide and are both 33" deep. These sizes accommodate all mailroom parts such as our riser and sorter components. 7 Risers & Sorters A RISER IS TYPICALLY USED WITH A SORTER MODULE TO RAISE THE SORTER ABOVE THE TABLE OR OFF THE FLOOR. RISERS ALLOW FOR ADDITIONAL STORAGE SPACE UNDER THE SORTER MODULE AND ALLOW FOR EASY CLEANING. RISERS ARE AVAILABLE IN CLOSED BACK OR OPEN BACK STYLES. They are available in three heights: 6-inches, 13-inches and 22-inches, but custom sizes are available upon request. All Risers will support up to four large sorting units and can be properly configured to maximize the use of your storage space. Risers are also frequently placed independently on tables and used as raised shelves. Our Sorter Modules are available in a variety of sizes and styles. We carry Closed Back Mail Sorters, Pass Thru Mail Sorters, Vertical Mail Sorters, Security Mail Sorters, Combination Mail Sorters, Wide Opening Mail Sorters and Corner Mail Sorters. All Sorting Modules are free standing and can be configured to meet your specific mail sorting and storage requirements. Make a list of tasks your mailroom will be responsible for when designing your mailroom layout. That list will help you to pick the appropriate mail components to carry out those tasks. Before you know it you will have created a mailroom built specifically around your office needs. Risers allow for additional storage space under the sorter module and allow for easy cleaning. All Mailroom Sorters securely nest together using a unique, steel, 4-sided skirt. The horizontal sorting shelves on all Mailroom Sorters are removable and adjustable in 1 5/8" Increments. All shelves are punched with a tab on either side that can be lifted to keep shelf secured in place. Locking Sorter Shelves Our newly designed perforated sorter shelves have unique locking tabs to secure shelves into place. All shelves are adjustable on 1-5/8" increments and are available in one suitable width to fit all sorter sizes. All shelves are designed with a return on the front and back side for added strength and durability. 15 Free-Standing Sorting Modules A FREE-STANDING SORTER MODULE IS COMMONLY USED TO SORT LARGE QUANTITIES AND TO ORGANIZE ALL INCOMING, OUTGOING AND INTERNAL MAIL. These sorter systems can sort and store mailroon supplies such as small parcels and packages, envelopes, literature, information booklets, order forms, documentation etc. All of your mailroom supplies can be organized with the use of one free-standing sorter module or a number of high density sorting modules placed side-by-side, back-to-back or positioned around a room. A bin sorting module is generally used to hold totes and bins for organizing large quantities of mail and small packages. Bin sorters can be stacked up to four units high and include an angled platform with lip to hold totes at a manageable position. Each tote or bin is usually labelled to outline a task such as incoming, outgoing and or internal mail. The mail will enter the mailroom and be dumped into a large bin. A 68" table with storage shelf and doors was used in combination with a 22" riser and a 30 bin sorter. An L-Shape workstation is generally created by combining two In-Line workstations at a 90 angle, utilizing the corner of a room. It utilizes efficient wall and floor space, leaving the center of the room free for mailroom activities and proper flow of traffic. All L-Shape designs are intended to maximize sorter openings and provide additional storage when needed in a confined space. A small corner sorter unit can be used to connect two larger workstations on either side to maintain a smooth sorting flow. A corner unit has been created by using a 33" table with 13" riser and two 10 bin sorters. 19 Back-to-Back Workstations BACK-TO-BACK MAILROOM LAYOUTS ARE AN EFFICIENT WAY TO MAXIMIZE YOUR SORTING CAPACITY. THERE ARE TWO BACK-TO- BACK STYLES AVAILABLE. When utilizing two tables with sorters on each, you can simply place these units back-to-back. This is the conventional method. It is very efficient and provides a large amount of mail openings for a mailroom with limited space. However, to maximize the number of openings in a small space without adding a large amount of furniture, one table can be utilized to support two sorting systems placed back-to-back on one common tabletop.
