The remaining contents including the Roku Streaming Stick are located near the bottom of the packaging box within a sealed plastic bag. TV Stand Pack Please make sure all contents listed above are accounted for before continuing to the next step. Accessory Bag Carefully remove the TV unit from the box. Please have at least 2 people handling the TV. Handle with Care When removing the TV from its packaging, be sure to grasp by the TV s edges only. It is recommended to have at least two people handling the TV due to its size and weight. CAUTION! Do not touch the TV s screen when moving the unit. Excessive pressure on the screen panel may crack and damage the product.

3 2 ASSEMBLY CAUTION: Please use ONLY the included screws and follow the steps below for assembly. STEP 1 Place the TV face down on a soft surface. STEP 2 Using the four provided BLACK screws and a screwdriver, attach the TV stand legs to the TV stand base. STEP 3 Using the four provided SILVER screws and a screwdriver, attach the assembled TV stand to the back of the TV. STEP 4 Check alignment and secure all of the screws to complete installation.

6 5 MENU OPTIONS Press the Menu ( ) button on the remote to display the following options below: Input Options After connecting a device to a specific port or ports, select a corresponding TV input to display. For quick access to the input menu, press the INPUT ( ) Button located on the top right of the remote. Picture Options Adjust display modes, brightness, contrast, and many other functions as desired. Sound Options Change sound quality and adjust additional settings when audio equipment or devices are connected. Settings Select preferred language display, scan or modify channels, enable closed captioning, adjust time, or reset to the TV's default settings in this section.

Enter a channel number, then press OK (or let the entry time out.) Toggles the Electronic Program Guide on and off. (Only available for digital channels.) Choose from streaming channels. Press to navigate in the Roku GUI and press OK to make selection. Highlights different items in the TV menu and adjusts the menu controls. Removes any menu or display from the screen to return to normal viewing. Press to bring up the main menu or to return to the previous menu. 10 */INFO Button Press for special function in the Roku GUI. If no menus are currently active, press */INFO to show information PICTURE Button Volume Buttons Channel Buttons MUTE Button 15 FAV Button Changes between 6 picture display modes: Personal, Energy Star, Dynamic, Cinematic, Natural, and Sports. Increases or decreases the sound volume. Navigates through channels. Turns silent mode on or off. Press to browse favorites from the channel list. 16 TV Button Press to access TV mode. 17 MEDIA Button Opens up the USB menu. 18 MTS Button Press to adjust audio language if applicable. These buttons can be used to play, pause playback, fast forward or rewind the video in 19 the Roku GUI. Play/Stop Buttons Play and navigate through musics or photos in the USB menu or other applicable device. 20 SLEEP Buttons Sets a designated amount of time after which the TV will automatically power off. 21 ZOOM Buttons Selects the desired screen format.

8 7 ROKU SETUP Requirements 55 ARES 4K UHD TV Roku Streaming Stick High Speed Internet Wireless Router Know your Roku Streaming Stick [MHL CONNECTOR] Plugs into the MHL port on the back of your TV. [STATUS LIGHT] Signifies it is on when lit, or activity when flashing. [RESET BUTTON] Use to reset your Roku Streaming Stick (which will not be necessary in most cases.) Initial Setup Plug the Roku Streaming Stick into the MHL port on the back of the TV. Next, press the Roku Home Button ( ) on the remote to jump right into the guided setup on the screen. ROKU Subscriptions or other payments may be required to access content on certain channels. For example, Netflix requires a paid subscription, which gives you access to movie and TV show titles in the Netflix streaming catalog. Some channels may not be available to all households in every market or in all countries where Roku products are sold." 9 8 ROKU SETUP (CONT.) Complete guided setup Connect to Network Have your network name and password ready and do the following: Select your network from the list of available networks. Enter your network password, if you use one. Remember, network passwords are case sensitive. *If you do not know your network s password, please contact your network provider. It s the final stretch and hooray it s a breeze! Proceed with the on-screen instructions to: Get the latest software. Link the Roku Streaming Stick to your Roku account on your computer. Your Roku Account During setup, you will be prompted to create a Roku account online at roku.com/link. Your Roku Streaming Stick will generate a unique code that links your player to your new account. Roku accounts are free and secure. While a valid credit card number is required to create your account, rest assured that you will only be charged if you authorize purchases of apps and games from the Roku Channel Store. 10 9 HELP AND SUPPORT Seeking Assistance? In case of an issue with your 4K UHD TV, please try the following steps: Q. The TV will not turn on. Make sure the TV is plugged in. Verify that the wall outlet or connected extension cord/strip is working properly, and/or try connecting the device to another outlet. Q. Buttons on the back of the TV do not work. The Keyboard Lock feature may be set to block. Use the remote control to unblock it by selecting the Keyboard Lock feature in the Parental Control menu. Press the arrow keys then OK to block or unblock. Unplug the TV for 10 minutes and then plug it back in. Turn the TV on and try again. Q. The audio has noisy static sounds. The signal from the current station may be weak. Go to the Sound menu and MTS option to change from stereo reception to mono. Q. No picture/sound but TV is on. The TV may have been turned to an input channel with nothing connected to it. To view a connected component, press the INPUT button on the remote to choose and display the connected device or access by pressing MENU > Input then navigate to the correct input channel and press OK. The Signal Type option may be set incorrectly. The channel may be blank and/or may hold too weak of a signal for proper viewing. Try changing channels. When playing from a VCR Player connected with a coaxial cable to the ANT/CABLE INPUT port, tune the TV to channel 3 or 4 (whichever channel is selected on the 3/4 switch on the back of the VCR Player.) Please also make sure the TV/VCR button on the VCR Player is in the correct mode (press the TV/VCR button on the VCR Player.) Q. The sound is fine, but the picture quality is poor. Q. Can t select a certain channel. If the screen is displaying a black and white picture from the component, the video cables The channel may be blocked or not approved may be connected to the wrong ports. If using a VCR Player, check to make sure the TV/VCR button on the VCR Player is in the correct mode. (Press the TV/ VCR button on your VCR.) Press the TV button on the remote then try to change the channel. Check the antenna connections. Please make sure all of the cables are connected to the ports properly.
