Never use ammonia based cleaner or solvents on the hood protector Dealer Installation Recommended. No moisture contact or washing vehicle for 24 hours after installation. 2 Fig. 1 1) 2) Clean front door with soap/water and dry with a clean cloth. Lower window and pull rubber weather strip down to expose door flange and mirror sail edge. Pull Fig. 2 3) Clean installation surface (shaded area) with provided alcohol wipe. 3 6) Detail A Fig. 4 6) Place masking tape on roof surface and mirror sail at bracket hole locations and mark with pen or pencil. 6) Detail A 6) Detail A Detail A Mark 6) Masking Tape Roof Surface 7) 5mm 7) Place abrasive tape with 5mm contacting door surface and mirror surface centered to marked tape locations (see detail A). Inner Door Flange 8) Wrap abrasive tape into inner door flange (see detail A). Abrasive Tape 8) Wrap Fig. 5 9) 10) Attach Bracket A using a capped screw through deflector and bracket. With capped screw through deflector and bracket, place washer and nut on capped screw. 11) Loosely tighten nut with nut tool. NOTE: Do not fully tighten screws. 4 Fig. 6 12) Attach deflector to door by sliding brackets onto door flange. NOTE: Make sure liner pull tabs are exposed. Align front flange of deflector over mirror sail at step in both parts. 15) Pull front pull tab back about 1" and tack down deflector. 15) Pull 1" 17) Pull 16) 17) Align top of deflector edge flush to top of door frame at marked rear location. 5 Push (min 15lbs) Fig. 9 20) Using a clean cloth apply at least 15 lbs. of pressure along tape length. Tighten Fig ) Use nut tool and tighten nuts on brackets. Tighten Nut Tool Fig ) Place Bracket B onto mirror sail. 23) Attach Bracket B to deflector by using a capped screw through deflector and bracket. 24) 25) With capped screw through deflector and bracket, place washer and nut on capped screw. Tighten nut with nut tool. With capped screw through deflector and bracket place washer and nut on capped screw. 38) Loosely tighten nut with nut tool. NOTE: Do not fully tighten screws. 9 Push (min 15lbs) Fig ) Using a clean cloth apply at least 15 lbs. of pressure along tape length. Tighten Tighten Fig ) Use nut tool and tighten nuts on brackets. 51) Push rubber weather strip back into door channel. Nut Tool 52) Repeat steps 1-51 for other side.
