We offer a variety of homestay summer courses that meet many different requirements. The most important thing for us is that you learn real English and have a great summer experience! We have 3 different summer school centres, each offering a unique experience. In Cheltenham we have our academic centre for both Juniors and Adults. In Gloucester we offer academic English with music, drama and sports. In the dramatic setting of the Forest of Dean we offer English and adventure sports. Our well qualified staff make lessons communicative, interactive and exciting. Learning English becomes a fun and rewarding experience in our classes. english SkiLLS the trinity exam OF SpOken english The Trinity Exam of Spoken English is offered to all students for an additional fee of 80. This internationally recognised exam gives students the opportunity to obtain a qualification during the summer. Students who decide to take the exam will receive tailored preparation and professional guidance. The first lesson every morning focuses on boosting students English skills in the 4 key areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Naturally the principal focus is on spoken English. english workshop This is a less traditional class in which students are encouraged to use their English in different ways. Students might work on writing a blog, designing a newspaper article, scripting a soap opera, writing and acting out a play,... and so much more, but always in English. 8 Home StaY accommodation who will you Stay with? 8 All of our families are carefully chosen. Many have worked with us for a number of years and are used to having international students stay with them. Our host families do all they can to make sure that the student feels part of their family. Many of our families have children and young adults at home so the students can communicate with people of their own age. During their time in the UK, our families act in loco parentis, and many speak to the student s family directly before the student leaves for their trip to the UK. We believe by staying with a carefully chosen family, our students will be able to put into practice all that they have learnt in class. Staying with an English family means students have to communicate in English, improving their language skills in a very short period of time. helping the host FamiLieS to help you We ensure that the host families have all the information they need before the summer starts. Families are sent details about the students they are going to receive and a timetable of the social programme, including collection times after evening and weekend events and trips. Many of our families stay in contact with our students for many years after their visit - they really do become part of their family in the UK.
