3 Calcium is the most abundant mineral in our body and is essential for strong bones, teeth, muscle contractions, nerve function, and our body s defense system. During pregnancy, there s an increased need for calcium, because it s also important for a baby s bone structure and development. DHA is one of the most important omega-3 fatty acids and is fundamental for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Folate (Folic Acid) is a highly researched B vitamin that plays an important role in maintaining healthy blood, vitamin vitalization, genetic material synthesis and central nervous system development.
