1 The Tudors HW Grid You must complete at least three of these tasks, (why not be growth minded and do more?!). You are expected to complete all homework by the deadlines set. Homework can be handed in at any time before then. If you are unsure of ANYTHING, please come and ask me. A day in the life of Write a diary extract (it can be of one or more days) of a day in the life of Henry VIII or one of his wives. Crime and Punishment Research and then design or create your own Tudor punishment Family Tree Create a poster of the Tudor family tree. Horrible Histories Create your own Horrible Histories style sketch/cartoon/script of an event or significant person from the Tudor period. Perhaps the Spanish Armada, Henry VIII s break from the Church It is totally your choice. Create a revision poster or leaflet covering everything from this term Create a timeline of the Tudor period. Remember, it has to be in the correct chronological order. Throughout History Can you find out about any other events or where religion has caused conflict? Perhaps you could research more recent historical events Top Ten Find the ten most important facts about the Tudor period. PMI Find a positive, a minus and an interesting about Henry VIII s break from the Catholic Church.

Time Line Create a time-line for the English Civil War Make sure you include key-events such as Charles ascent to throne, the Eleven Year Tyranny, the key battles, the creation of the Petition of Right. Horrible Histories Watch these videos watch?v=tl0ll6ywgru Now create your own horrible history style Civil War storyboard / sketch Poster Create a recruitment poster for either the Roundheads or the Cavaliers. It should be designed to recruit as many soldiers as possible to your cause! Be persuasive! PMI Identify a Positive, a Minus and an Interesting fact regarding the English Civil War Create a revision poster or leaflet covering everything we have covered this term Research Research 5 key battles of the English Civil War. Write a summary of these battles detailing the key points Civil War Statistics Find out the following statistics for the English Civil War (estimates are allowed!) Bloodiest Battle Number of Royalists Dead Number of Roundheads Dead Number of Battles Years it lasted Town / City which changed sides the most times Number of soldiers involved I have been learning... Keep a History Diary: Write a few sentences to describe what you have learnt in History each lesson. What level do you think you are working at? Give examples of evidence that shows this. Compare and contrast Compare and contrast the English Civil War, 1642, which we covered last term, to the French Revolution, What are the similarities/differences? Present your thoughts/ideas in any way you wish. Why? Why? Why? Why is the French Revolution still remembered today? Write an A4 page explaining why it is celebrated today, what is important about it? What does it mean to the French people? Find out how people in France celebrate the revolution. Book Cover Create a book cover for a biography of Napoleon Bonaparte. Include a picture of him and description of his life and achievements on the back. Revisit last terms homework task How & why should we study Black History? Would you make any changes to your answer? Create a timeline (you can be as creative as you like!) of the main events of the French Revolution. For example, the Tennis Court Oath, the execution of Louis XVI etc. Dear Diary Write a diary of a French man or women during the revolution. Think about which Estate you belong to and describe how you feel about what is happening including any hopes for the future. Cause and consequence Create a cause and consequence tree about what caused the French Revolution (think about; money, bad harvest, Louis and the Estates General. May in June 1789 and the National Assembly also in June 1789). Strike a Pose! Design a French hat for a revolutionary French person to wear. (Use the internet to research the styles of the time.) You must include a short paragraph explaining who you think may have worn it and why.
