2 7. GENERAL SYSTEM OVERVIEW Fit-up 2 action points: - Prepare exploded view drawing of vehicle interior with fixings detail (clip, screw, bolt etc). 8. CRITICAL STEPS: The following steps are critical and must be performed EXACTLY as specified to ensure proper installation Location of the lights must be followed exactly as described in this instruction Posi-Tap instructions must be specifically followed as described. Cables must be properly secured to prevent rattling and/or snagging on any moving parts or limbs e.g. cup holder harness running through centre console close to handbrake Page 2 of F3 4W010II - Rev

VEHICLE PREPARATION 1) Vehicle Preparation a) Reecord customer radio presents A B C b) Apply parking brake c) Turn off the ignition d) Disconnect battery negative terminal NOTE: USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING/RE-INSTALLING TRIM COMPONENTS TO AVOID DAMAGE, SCRATCHES, BREAKING OF CLIPS AND/OR INTERIOR TRIM PANELS. MOVE ALL TRIM COMPONENTS TO A PROTECTED AREA. 2) Remove the following interior parts as shown. Refer to the vehicle service manual. a) Console mask b) Console mask cover Note: For M/T remove shift knob c) Console rear finisher d) LH and RH instrument lower covers e) Shifter finisher f) Console body ass'y g) Center console h) Fuse block lid i) Side mask LH j) Instrument side finisher k) Instrument lower finisher l) Glove box assembly m) Rear cup holder. 4 10. LIGHT STICK PREPARATION Before LED side 1) Prepare driver side light stick. a) Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe. Loop Fig. 1 After LED side b) Fix (1) 12.5 x 19 x 0.7mm adhesive pad with edge aligned to position 3 as shown- on LED side. c) Fix (1) 12.5 x 19 x 0.7mm adhesive pad with edge aligned to position 10 as shown - on LED side Fig. 1 (cont'd) Before LED side 2) Prepare passenger side light stick. a) Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe. 5 11. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 1) Remove (4) Philips screws attaching Cupholder. CAUTION Use only a 9/32" drill to avoid damage to Cupholder. Holes larger than 9/32" will not retain LEDs. Use a drill stop to avoid damage to the Cupholder. 2) Prepare Cupholder for LEDs. a) Tape LED template (A) to cupholder. b) Mark and drill (2) 9/32" holes. c) Snap in Cupholder LED Lenses and lens retainers. 3) Prepare Cupholder for Encoder. a) Tape Encoder template (B) to cupholder. b) Mark and drill (1) 5/16" hole. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 4 4) Install Cupholder LEDs and Encoder. a) Clean mouting area with alcohol wipe. b) Peel double-sided tape liner and place each Cupholder light assembly as shown. c) Secure cable with foam tape as shown. Fig. 4 (cont'd) d) Install Encoder, 11mm Lock Nut and Knob. e) Route LED wires next to Encoder wires and install 4" cable tie. f) Reinstall Cupholder and (4) Phillips screws to center console. Fig. 5 5) Prepare Instrument Lower Finisher. 5mm 50mm 15mm 5mm a) Align long bracket to finisher rib and bracket hold to finisher edge as shown. Mark the hole. b) Align medium bracket to finisher rib and flater finisher surface before break. Mark the hole. c) Drill (2) 3/16" holes at marked locations. * (OBD Connector) Fig. 6 6) Install the brackets. a) Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe. b) Peel off double-sided tape liner from long and medium brackets. d) Install brackets to lower finisher with holes aligned. e) Install (2) Philips screws and U-nuts from kit. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 7) Install driver side light assembly. a) Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe. b) Peel tabs away from adhesive tape. c) Press assembly onto bracket with tape centered. d) Install (4) 4" cable ties around wire, light assembly and brackets. Trim excess cable tie. 8) Reinstall Instrument lower finisher. a) Reinstall OBD connector to finisher. b) Add 4" cable tie to secure wire loop on light stick to OBD harness as shown. c) Reinstall Instrument lower finisher. 9) Route Passenger side light assembly behind IP brace as shown. 8 11. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 10) Install Passenger side brackets. (with glove box removed) a) Remove (2) Phillips IP screws. b) Install the (2) short brackets. 11) Mount passenger side light assembly. a) Clean bracket surface with alcohol wipe. b) Peel tabs away from adhesive tape. c) Press light assembly onto brackets with bracket edges aligned to tape edges. d) Install (2) 4" cable ties through bracket holes, around wire, light assembly and brackets. NOTE: ENSURE LEDs ARE NOT OBSCURED BY CABLES TIES, WIRING, BRACKETS etc. Page 8 of F3 4W010II - Rev

9 12. PosiTap installation. b) a) Fig ) Tap vehicle wire. a) Remove cap (slot side) from tap body. b) Slide cap around vehicle wire. c) Tighten the tap TIGHT with finger pressure. NOTE: Do not re-use the tap for subsequent reinstallation. Figures are not to scale. Fig ) Inspect the tap to ensure correct installation. i. Straight and evenly spaced all the way around ii. Tight and minimize gap (wire jacket should be crushed) NOTE: Avoid putting pressure on the vehicle wire and tap for the remainder of the installation. Fig ) Tap accessory wire. e) Insert wire to here a) c) a) Remove tap (non-pierce) side from tap. b) Remove the protective stub from the wire. c) Insert wire through h the non-pierce side opening. d) f) Tighten d) Spread the individual strands into fan shape. e) Insert wire into the tap body and ensure that it is all the way in. f) Tighten the tap TIGHT with finger pressure. Fig ) Confirm the tapped accessory wire. a) Inspect the tap to ensure correct installation. b) Test the signal to ensure that it is working properly. i. Straight and evenly spaced all around ii. 10 11. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Vehicle Harness b) a) Fig ) Secure the tap. a) b) Secure the tapped wire on the non-pierce side to the body of the tap with electrical tape ( 2 revolutions). Secure the body to harness where vehicle wire is being tapped with electrical tape ( 2 revolutions).... Accessory CAUTION Color(s) given in illustration(s) are for reference only. Use location(s) where color deviates. If a vehicle wire is being used by another accessory and a posi-tap is present, tap the accessory wire NOT the vehicle wire. NOTE: BCM is located behind glove box. Fig. Fig ) Connect Accent Lighting ground. a) Remove bolt from left BCM bracket. b) Install Accent Lighting ground eyelet under screw and reinstall. 18) Tap Accessory Green wire to Light Green wire, Cavity 57 of Black BCM connector M20. 11 11. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 19) Tap Accessory Brown wire to the Brown wire, Cavity 63 of BCM connector M20. See steps for wire tap installation instructions. 20) Tap Accessory Blue wire to the Dark Blue wire, Cavity 11 of BCM connector M18. See steps for wire tap installation instructions. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 21) Route Power cable. a) Route Power cable and excess wire along existing IP harness as shown. b) Install (2) 4" cable ties as shown. c) Route Power cable behind center IP brace following light stick wire routing. 22) Prepare Module a) Connect Power Cable to Module. b) Connect footwell light wiring to Module. c) Peel tape liner from foam pad and stick pad to Module. 23) Partially install center console and connector encoder and cup holder light sticks. CAUTION Only use your fingers to release Module connector. Prying on release tab with any tool may damage the tab. 24) Mount Module. a) Peel tape liner from foam pad on Module. b) Adhere module to Driver Side IP brace. c) Use (2) 11" cable ties to secure Module to IP brace. d) Use 4" cable tie to secure power and footwell light wiring to IP brace. 13 11. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 25) a) b) c) d) Connect console accessory wiring. Place console in vehicle so console accessory wiring can reach Module. Route console accessory wires over IP brace. Connect console accessory wiring to module. Use 11" cable tie to secure remaining wiring under console. 26) Verify that the system is functional. 27) Re-assemble vehicle in reverse order. CAUTION Use caution when removing/re-installing trim components to avoid damage, scratches, breaking of clips and/or interior trim panels. Page 13 of F3 4W010II - Rev

14 12) CHECKLIST Prior to completion, verify the following: 1) Connect the battery negative terminal. 2) Turn the vehicle ignition switch to the "ACC" position, push lighting control knob, and confirm the Accent Lighting illuminates. 3) Turn the lighting control knob and confirm that the color changes through 20 variations. 4) Press and hold control knob for 3 seconds and confirm that the Accent Lighting enters "Demo Mode" and cycles through colors. Press knob again to exit demo mode. 5) Leaving the accessory ON, turn the interior Room Lamp to "DOOR" and ignition switch OFF. Open the door and confirm the Accent Lighting Illuminates. 6) Leaving the accessory ON, and the ignition switch OFF, close and lock the door using CDL or Key Fob (if equipped). Confirm that the Accent Lighting turns off. 7) Reset the radio presets to the recorded settings. 8) Place the Accent Lighting Quick Reference card in the glove box. 9) Check the trim for a proper flush fit after re-installing the interior components. 10) Clean the interior of the vehicle. 11) Inspect the vehicle interior and exterior for damage.
