1 A Winners Guide to Video Keno My Tips and Strategies 1. Start out playing nickels and (6) spots. It is more cost effective and easier to hit while you learn the patterns. Watch the game. You will see the patterns come up. 2. Don t chase the Board! (Changing your numbers every few minutes) This is what long time keno players refer to as running scared and chasing the board. (Though I have won using the numbers I show in the patterns on the following pages, you can use any numbers you want, so long as you maintain the patterns) 3. Study the board as you play. If you ve played your first twenty-dollars (on a nickel machine, $40 on a quarter machine) and you re not getting hardly any hits (coin in vs return), then and only then should you move your pattern. Nothing worse than giving in to soon and moving your pattern, only to see it come up a short time later! I have no problem with staying on the same pattern and numbers all night if they are producing. That s how you hit big jackpots! 4. Trust me on this: To win big takes three things: (1) Time. (2) Money. (3) Patience. The first time I took a former girlfriend with me, she dumped $100 in the slots and came out with nothing. She came over to where I was playing Video Keno and watched as I hit a (7) spot for $1725 (on a quarter machine) and proceeded to play next to me. She dumped another $200 and won nothing! She complained all the way home. Two weeks later her and I went again. I told her if she listened to me and would stop chasing the board, she might just win a little. Well, about four hours later she hit an (8) spot! All eight numbers! $5000! (She bet.50 a game). Needless to say, she changed her tune after that. The (7) spot at the top of diagram D, the H pattern, is one of my favorites. You can play it anywhere on the board. My best friend is a High Roller of sorts. He used to go and drop from $3000 to $5000 in the dollar machines. Every once in a while he would get lucky, not very often though. He saw me hit seven out of seven, using the H pattern, while playing $.75 on a quarter machine and win over $5000. Now he plays nothing else. In fact, he plays the keno machines where you can bet 200 credits. That s $10 per game in nickels. He has hit it three times that I know of for $16,000! When he hits six out of seven, he wins $1000!

2 I d still be playing dollar slots, if it weren t for you, he said. He thanked me the first time he hit it by sending me a check for $500 as a token of his appreciation. 5. As a Rule of Thumb! I always go late at night. (1) Less people (2) Less noise (3) More machines to choose from. I have no problem playing all night, as long as I am winning something, the big one will come. When I play 8, 9 or 10 spots, I don t expect to hit them all. I am looking for 7 out of 8, 8 out of 9 and 8 or 9 out of 10. That s where the money is. If you hit them all (as I have done many times), great! Icing on the cake! What you are after is repeat hits. 6. My bankroll and how I play is as follows: (Doesn t matter if you are playing nickels or quarters) $40 or less, I play (6) spot. $60 to $250, I play (7) spot. $300 to $500, I play (8) spot and $400 and up I play (9) spot. I play (10) spot when I m bored or just about ready to go home. I have hit all ten in a (10) spot before. Problem is you have to hit at least five (5) numbers before you even win your bet back. Betting: When playing single game keno: I play.20 a game when it is a nickel machine. When playing four cards, I bet.5 to.10 cents a card. I ll max it if hit a jackpot. When playing single game quarter machine, I bet.50 a game. When playing four cards, I bet.25 a game. If I hit a big jackpot, I ll increase my bet by one coin. (.25 to.50 a game, etc.) I always start out doubling my bet for the first $20. I have hit many jackpots in the first 30 min. or less. RNG: Remember This: In Video Keno, a random number generator (RNG) in the machine is used to draw the numbers. The RNG in the Keno machine does not make a win/no-win decision. It is a pre-programmed chip installed at the factory. It is programmed with the payout percentage. The payout percentage on a nickel machine is between 89% and 92%, a quarter machine is 90% to 92% and a dollar machine is around 93% on average. The RNG in the machine is used to choose numbers at random and if they happen to make a winning combination, so much the better for the player. Though it s highly unlikely, the RNG could pick the same set of winning numbers one hundred times in a row. I ve had it hit all of my numbers twice in a row and all but one number four to five times in one hour. Luck? Sure. That s why I stick with the same pattern! Learn them.

3 7. When to change machines. Unless I am playing an all night pattern, I only change machines after I have spent about $60 on a nickel machine or $80 on a quarter machine and have nothing to show for it. When I find a paying machine or two, I pretty much stick to playing them no matter what. Watch the screen as you play. If numbers are consistently grouping in one area, move or change your pattern there. I have hit repeating jackpots this way. Multi-Card (10-20 games) Keno: Because the payback is usually much less and the payback percentage is about 86% to 90%, I don t play them very much. Also, there are none in my area where I live. I have won on them before, but it seems to take FOREVER, not to mention that your money goes faster! UPDATE: Because of the vast amount of s regarding multi-card keno, I am now including some twenty-card patterns that I use when I play in Reno and Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately for me, there are no multi-card keno games close to where I live which is why I play mostly four card. Hopes it works as well for you as it does for me. I don t always win. Nobody does. If I double my bankroll, that s good. Not great, but good. I will hit big winners (Jackpots) at least two (2), if not three (3) out of five times that I play. Remember: FOLLOW MY TIPS!!! Knowing them allows you to change to anyone of them at any time. Myself, I prefer playing seven spots most of the time. On a nickel bet, a six spot pays $80. On a quarter bet, it pays $600. On a nickel bet, a seven spot pays between $300 and $350! On a quarter bet, it pays $1750! Pretty big jump in $$$ by adding only one more number!

My best friend plays this four-card seven spot pattern to the tune of $40,000 to $60,000 a year! (Yes, that s THOUSAND) He is a High Roller and plays $10 per game. I have hit (3) eight out of nines and (1) nine at the same time playing this four-card pattern. It was one of my biggest payouts! 11 My Killer All night 4-Card (7) Spot: This is one of my favorite four-card seven spot when I plan on playing all night. Cards: A, B, C, D ACD 44 CD 45 CD 46BCD AD BC AD BC ABD 74AB 75AB 76ABC As you can see, each card you are making an L shaped pattern. When the numbers come up to form a U, you just hit double 7 s!!! My Four Card All Night Eight Spot Patterns. I play these on four card Video Keno when I plan on playing all night and have a good bankroll of at least $400 or more. However, when I do get a chance to go to Reno or Lake Tahoe, I play these twenty-card seven spot patterns. They seem to come up consistently more than anything else I ve played. These patterns work the best. You will also notice where I like to play my numbers on most games. I stick to the bottom half of the Keno board. I have my best wins there. I have hit three 7 s in one game playing this! That s $1050!
