1 Sample Lab Report WeightWorks lab testing includes all of the following (additional tests are available if recommended): Complete Blood Count (CBC) - including differential screens for blood abnormalities including red & white blood cells and platelets Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (CMP+14) - including electrolytes, kidney function, liver function & mineral balance Lipid Panel - including total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, VLDL, LDL/HDL ratio Hemoglobin A1C - included to review recent blood sugar levels as related to excess weight Thyroid Profile - including Free-Thyroxine Index (FTI), T3 uptake (THBR), Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Thyroxine (Total T4) and Tri-iodothyronine (T3) Your WeightWorks doctor will review all the lab results, in a format similar to that provided in the following pages at the time of your initial physical exam. It is important that you understand what your body needs to function properly so you can live the longest, healthiest life possible. Why is the WeightWorks Program the best? Your customized wellness report and recommendations are based upon your sex, age, medical history and general health. Recommendations will include a combination of dietary changes, vitamin supplements and life style changes that you need to make to reach optimal health. This program is unique because the lab results are used to formulate a weight loss program to fit your personal situation and goals. What is the best Range for me? Some of the laboratory values have optimal ranges that are age and gender dependent. Therefore, it is possible for you to have a normal test result and health recommendations will still be made for you. Your report will explain how far you are from normal or from your optimal range. 1. Optimal range this indicates your results are within range of what is expected for someone their gender and age. 2. Normal range this indicates your results are within 95% of what is expected for someone their gender. This value is not age dependent. 3. Low or High range this indicates your results are out of the normal range and specific recommendations will be made. 4. Critical Low or Critical High panic range this indicates patients results are severely out of the normal range and referral or further testing maybe indicated. How long will it take to make a change in my health? To observe measurable changes in blood laboratory testing, we recommend a 120 day trial of modified lifestyle changes before re testing. This time frame is varies by individual as the average life of the Red Blood Cell is 90 days and nutrient delivery depends on this cellular turnover. Sometimes you will require more frequent monitoring depending on general overall health, pre existing conditions and test results. What about my weigtht loss program?
