1 BUILD YOURSELF From the Ground Up COMPLETE PROTEIN LINE, GREENS POWDER & COCONUT OIL
2 Your Body Craves Clean The Scoop on Clean PLANT PROTEIN. Proteins make you what you are. They are the structure of all cells in the body. Your body consists of thousands of different proteins found in every body part and tissue. They carry oxygen, they help you grow, repair and rebuild tissue. Get enough protein, and get the most out of every day. There s been a huge increase in demand for organic plant-based proteins over animal proteins. Consumers are seeking cleaner proteins, wanting to avoid synthetic hormones and antibiotics given to cows. Similarly, customers are seeking Certified Canada Organic plant-based proteins to avoid weed killers (herbicides), fungicides and insecticides used on conventionally grown plant protein crops. Garden of Life is uniquely positioned as the leader in protein in the Natural Products Industry. We go the extra mile with our products to obtain the Certified Canada Organic certification. Garden of Life offers four lines of high-quality, Certified Canada Organic, GMO-free protein products. Here is a guide of our top-selling line, so you can decide which protein is right for you.
3 HOW MUCH Protein DO YOU NEED? Everyone knows it s important to eat enough protein to stay healthy, but most people don t have any idea how much protein they actually need. When most folks venture into a health food store to find a protein supplement, they re overwhelmed by the vast array of protein powders available. Here s a simple guide to help you easily figure out how much protein you need and decide which one is right for you. There has always been controversy over protein requirements for athletes, depending on their particular sport and their training demands. However, for the majority of us who are active and exercising, it s fairly easy to determine our individual protein needs. Most adults need 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. For example, a woman weighing 65 kilograms will need a little over 50 grams of protein per day, since that formula works out to be: 65 x 0.8 = 52. Strength athletes need more and usually aim for 1.2 to 1.7 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. A serious athlete weighing 100 kilograms will need to consume somewhere between 120 and 170 grams of protein per day. Most meats and fish provide 17.5 grams of protein per serving, so a high-quality protein supplement can be useful to boost protein intake, especially if you are a vegan or vegetarian. Finding the time and motivation to eat well and maintain a healthy weight is a challenge for almost everyone. Garden of Life, the top-selling brand of Certified Canada Organic, GMO-free plant proteins, offers a variety of solutions that can help you choose which protein is right for you.
