1 Installation of Q-Waves Product 1. Install Wireless USB Windrivers first by running the setup file and accept any user access control popup boxes by clicking on Continue or Yes : 2. You will then be asked (as below) to choose the correct geographic location and then click Next and proceed to step 3:

2 3. It will then continue to install, once this has finished, proceed to step You should now see as below, this is the firmware upgrade of the dongles. You will need to place one in at a time, starting with the PC Adapter. Once plugged in please proceed to step 5.

3 5. Once plugged in it should start installing the drivers for that device and once finished it should come up with the second screenshot. (This may vary depending on which operating system you are running, this was performed on an XP based machine). 6. Once the drivers have been installed click the Update PC Adapter button, and proceed to step Click next once the bottom screenshot has appeared then proceed to step 8.

4 8. You ll then be faced with the below screenshot, asking do you wish to replace version X with version Y. Then click ok and proceed to step It will then proceed to do the firmware upgrade and look like the below screenshot:

5 10. Then once completed it ll return to the original screen with a next to the adapter which was upgraded. Continue from steps 4 to 10 again to update the Device Adapter. 11. When both dongles have been updated and both have next to them, you ll see that the Finish button is now visible to click and a box showing Wireless USB dongles Paired appear. Click Finish and proceed to step 12.

6 12. Next run the Displaylink setup file then accept any access control popup boxes as per step 1: 13. Select you re language of choice, and click I Accept and proceed to step 14.

7 14. It will now install the Display Link software, starting with the Display Link Core Software, then onto the Display Link Graphics. Once this has finished installing the setup screen will disappear off the screen and return back to your desktop. Proceed to step Insert the both adaptors in their correct places. (PC Adaptor in the Laptop/PC and Device Adaptor in the Main AV Base Unit). 16. You will then see the complete software installing as per the screenshot below: 17. Once all of the drivers have been installed you should receive both icons in the bottom right hand side system tray which will be the Wireless USB Manager icon and the Displaylink Icon. You should now be able to see on your TV screen your desktop including icons or just your desktop wallpaper excluding icons. If you see just your desktop wallpaper excluding icons and would like to change to your desktop with icons please read how to switch modes and change resolution PDF file.

8 Uninstall of Q-Waves Product 1. To completely remove the Q-Waves software: Go to: In Windows XP: Start > Control Panel> Add or remove programs In Windows Vista/7: Start> Control Panel> Programs> Programs and Features E.g. XP Below 2. Firstly uninstall the Wireless USB WinDrivers as per the screenshot below: (PC Adaptor must be disconnected before removing Wireless USB Windrivers)

9 3. The process of uninstall will start as per the screenshot below: 4. You will then be asked if you would like to remove the application and all features as per screenshot below: 5. If you choose Yes this will continue to uninstall and fully remove the software from the Laptop/PC. When completed you will see a Finish button which indicates the software has been fully been removed. (After you have uninstalled the wireless drivers press F5 on the keyboard to refresh the Add/Remove screen and double check that the software has been fully removed from the list) 6. Next you will need to remove the Displaylink software which is installed as two parts as per the screenshot below:

10 7. Please follow steps 2 to 5 on how to uninstall the software but this time remove Displaylink Graphics which is the main part of this particular software. What you should also notice is that it will uninstall the Displaylink Core Software at the same time which is part of the same process and is totally normal. 8. Once the software has been completely removed you will be asked to restart the PC/Laptop now or restart later. You will need to select Yes button to restart now.
