Therefore our goal is to keep you informed about what s going on in the Children and Youth Ministry so that you are better equipped to strengthen their faith at home. In the next few pages you will find information about what we ll be doing, where your kids will be, and when. 2 What We Do Sunday School *See maps on pages 5-6 for room locations.* God has blessed America with the tradition of Sunday morning Bible classes for children and youth. It is a time for members and attenders alike to be lead closer to Jesus through relevant education from the Bible. We also teach basic skills such as prayer, how to read a Bible, and we take weekly offerings to support missions across the world! Nursery There is childcare available during the Sunday School hour as well during the second service. (9:45am 12:00am) Preschool Meets in the Upper Sunday School room at 9:45am until 10:50am Grades 1-6 Meet in the Choir room at 9:45am Move to classrooms at 10:00am until 10:50am Junior High (Grades 7-9) Meets in the north side of the youth room at 9:45am until 10:50am Senior High (Grades 10-12) Meets in the south side of the youth room at 9:45am until 10:50am Wednesday Night After a full day of classes, the children and youth are wired yet tired. Active lessons, games, crafts, and engaging worship are excellent places to grow in relationships with God, friends, and mentors. Preschool Attends the opening celebration in the fireside room at 6:15pm Moves to the Upper Sunday School room at 6:30pm Returns to the gym at 7:45pm Grades 1-6 Attends the opening celebration in the fireside room at 6:15pm Begin rotation of activities (including choir for K-3rd Grade) until 8:00pm Youth Group Sold Out (Grades 7-12) Meets in the south side of the youth room from 6:15-8:00pm. for more info. Every night is fun-filled, worship focused, and teaches youth about Jesus Christ.

3 What We Do Children s Music Ministry Through strong, prayerful music ministry training and opportunities to serve the Emmaus family, the children of our church are being taught to reflect the same Celebration Ministries values that we ask our adult artists to emulate: (a) the priority of God s reputation, (b) freedom, (c) biblical truth, (d) authenticity, Humility, and integrity, (e) healthy and growing relationships, (f) excellence. Sanctified Singers: (Grades 4-8th) Meets in the choir room on Wednesday evenings from 5:15-6:15 pm Joyful Sound: (Grades K-3rd) Meets in the choir room on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:00 pm; September - May) Other Events: Youth Lock-In: September 17 Spaghetti Dinner: October 3rd Youth Retreat: October Fall Family Outing: October 9th Youth Service Lock-In: November 12th Youth Christmas Child Shoebox Packing : December 2nd, 5-9pm Christmas Program: Dec. 18th (7pm) Dec. 19th (4, 7pm) 17th Dress Rehearsal: 6:30-8pm Encounter Youth Event: Jan or Feb Children s Musical : April 17th
