We would love to have you join our team and it takes all of us pulling in the same direction to achieve our mission: To introduce kids to JESUS CHRIST and help them become fully devoted followers of HIM! Attached are several documents which will help you better understand the ministry as well as help us find the best place on the team for you to serve. Please carefully review the information and complete the applicable forms as follows: RKids QRS: This attachment includes RKids staff info and our mission, values, commitments and expectations for the ministry and is yours to keep for reference. Bio: This attachment provides some more info about my family, background vision for the ministry and is yours to keep for reference. New Volunteer Application: Please fill out your name and then all of the applicable preferences you have in regard to the service, class and weekly rotation you prefer. Please also use the comments section to provide any suggestions or special information. Dream Team Application: This form is the standardized Riverside volunteer application used for all ministries. Central Registry Clearance form: If 18 or older, please fill out this form and include a copy of your driver s license so that we can have a background check ran. Note: You can choose to have it sent to your home or directly to Riverside Church. If you elect to have it sent to your home, please bring a copy to the office. Thank-you in advance for making this a priority and getting the two applications and registry form turned back into the office as soon as possible so we get you plugged into the ministry. We are certain that God will honor and bless you as you invest into these kids. As Jesus said in Matthew 18:5, whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. Relevant We must communicate the message of Jesus in a way that kids of all ages can understand as well as providing fun activities and interactive worship environments. We want kids to be excited to come to church! Ref. KIDZONE kids are to use the family bathroom only room leaders are to ensure safety by walking them to and from the bathroom Immediately notify the service director in the event of a safety concern All injuries must be recorded and disclosed to the child s parent(s) No volunteer food or drink is allowed in the nursery, toddler or preschool rooms - volunteers may bring drinks with lids into the elementary classrooms No outside rewards (candy, toys, balloons, etc.) may be brought into the classroom without the permission of the Pre-K or Elementary Director Personal cell phone use is to be limited to emergency situations only placing calls, texting or browsing the web is not honoring to the kids we are serving

4 For Your Information A little information about myself, my family, my background, what you can expect out of me and what I expect out of those in this ministry Contact Info Bryan Stuck, Pastor of Children s Ministries bstuck@riverside-church.com office: x16 / cell: Family Info I am happily married to my (much) better half and beautiful bride of 12 years, Niki. She is currently serving at Riverside on the weekends and during special events on stage with the Worship Arts team as a vocalist. God has blessed us with 4 wonderful boys: Matthew (11), Ethan (9), Jacob (7) and Andrew (5). Background I was born and raised in Three Rivers and have been a part of Riverside Church (originally Three Rivers Christian Fellowship) since birth. I graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1995 (the building we now call Riverside Church!) and then went on to earn a Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University in I worked at Eaton Filtration in Portage for 11 years in engineering prior to joining the team at Riverside in August of Since moving back to Three Rivers in 2000, I have served Riverside in multiple capacities including sound tech, growth group host/coach, Bible School facilitator and lay elder. What you can expect out of me I am a full-fledged believer that Jesus Christ was (and is) the very best example of leadership this world has ever seen. Following His example, my objective is not to be served, but to serve as a leader. I will walk this out by striving to make your ministry experience the best it can be, encouraging spiritual growth and stretching people to grow in the gifts and talents God has placed in them. I will also empower people to lead as they demonstrate the grace and God given ability to do so. Lastly, I am committed to being accessible and open to all feedback, suggestions and critique. This is priority #1 and I will never let ministry get in the way of this.
