2 D E C R E E S: Art. 1 With respect to the Visiting Professor Programme, a call for nomination and evaluation is announced. The evaluation will be based solely upon qualifications and will be reserved to highly qualified scholars currently working abroad who have been asked to collaborate with teaching and research entities of the University of Sassari. The available positions, 50 short term visits and 22 long term visits, refer to the Department, job descriptions and scientific research areas described below: ID.1 Department: Agraria Visiting Period: mag-16-6 days Scientific research area: AGR/12 PATOLOGIA VEGETALE The successful candidate should have an outstanding international profile relating to Mycology and Plant Pathology, with particular regard to emerging and re-emerging diseases in forest ecosystems. The Visiting Professor is expected to join the Department s research group in Plant Pathology collaborating with researchers and PhD students. He/she will also be involved in teaching activities and laboratory concerning population biology, taxonomy, and international spread of Dutch elm disease and Phytophthora pathogens- biological control of forest pathogens- rapid pathogen evolution via interspecific hybridization and jumping genes - fungal species concepts and fungal speciation processes. ID.2 Department: Agraria Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: AGR/15 SCIENZE E TECNOLOGIE ALIMENTARI Motivated scientist from a foreign University, collaborating with different top universities.the researcher should be involved in the sector of food science, specifically dairy science and technology The Visiting will be involved on the ongoing research activities of the department, stimulating new ideas and approaches for ongoing and further research activities; will give lectures focused on food microstructure, involving molecular phenomena occurring during dairy processing, such as gelation, emulsification, and crystallization; will meet graduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and professors. The latter will aim to start collaboration between the university and food industries, in order to valorize and improve the regional food production. Pag. 2 di 27

3 ID.3 Department: Agraria Visiting Period: lug-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/03 BOTANICA AMBIENTALE E APPLICATA Knowledge of statistical methods for modelling plant distribution, with special concern to invasive alien plant and Bayesian risk mapping. The Visiting will apply statistical methods and software on plant distribution data, focussing to invasive alien plant species and Bayesian methods for risk mapping. These data-sets are already available at the Department; will develop a draft proposal for a larger collaborative research project involving researchers from Italy and other countries; will conduct a seminar at the University of Sassari on the application of statistical methods and software for the analysis of invasive alien plant distribution data. ID.4 Department: Agraria Visiting Period: lug-15-6 days Scientific research area: AGR/09 MECCANICA AGRARIA Expert in electrical engineering technologies applied to agricultural systems, with a special focus on the development of photovoltaic and LED technologies for energy conservation in greenhouses Seminars and lectures addressed to faculty and PhD students, dealing with energy management and photovoltaic systems for sustainable greenhouse plant cultivation. Scientific cooperation on research activities of common interest regarding energy production from renewable sources and energy-savings in greenhouse systems. ID.5 Department: Agraria Visiting Period: set-15-6 days Scientific research area: AGR/18 NUTRIZIONE E ALIMENTAZIONE ANIMALE Expertise on: mechanism regulating feeding behavior and intake of grazing ruminants- techniques to measure pasture intake- modeling of feeding behavior and intake of grazing dairy ruminants. The expert will give 4 seminars for PhD students on: 1) mechanism regulating feeding behavour on pasture; 2) part-time grazing: effects of daily length of access to pasture, timing of grazing sessions and daily frequency of grazing sessions; 3) modelling of ingestive behavior and performance of grazing ruminants; 4) effects of grazing on the release of pollutants in forage-based dairy production systems. The candidate will also support Ph.D. students on their research and contribute to the drafting of a paper on the mechanistic modelling of intake in dairy sheep under part-time grazing. Pag. 3 di 27

4 ID.6 Department: Agraria Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: AGR/11 ENTOMOLOGIA GENERALE E APPLICATA The candidate have to demonstrate a consolidated research experience on parasites and pathogens of the beehive, with particular regard to Varroa destructor During the stay at the Section of Plant pathology and Entomology, the candidate will hold a series of seminars for students of different degree and PhD School. Among the topics to be covered: 1)Integrate and best practices management of the beehive parasites; 2)Perspectives of the employment of natural compounds for the beehive parasites control; 3)Nutritional aspects and honeybee colony collapse ID.7 Department: Chimica e Farmacia Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/14 FARMACOLOGIA Expert in preclinical and clinical neuropsychopharmacology, especially concerning central monoaminergic systems and serotonin-dopamine interactions.expert in intracelebral microdialysis. Teaching courses for students in Pharmacy and CTF : the central serotonergic system, role of its receptors in the control of the activity of the mesocorticolimbic and nigrostriatal dopaminergic systems. Discussion of the potential of this interactions for the development of improved treatments of dopamine-dependent neuropsychiatric disorders, such as depression, schizophrenia, drug addiction or Parkinson s disease. ID.8 Department: Chimica e Farmacia Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: CHIM/03 CHIMICA GENERALE E INORGANICA Young motivated scientist from a foreign University, collaborating with different top universities and pharmaceutical companies, strongly involved in the field of genetics of human diseases. The visiting will be involved on the ongoing research activities of the department, stimulating new ideas and approaches for ongoing and further research activities. He will give lectures focused on bioinformatics analysis of gene expression in relation to genetic variants predisposing to clinical phenotypes. He will meet graduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and professors. Research on human cohorts in Sardinia will be discussed, along with possible funding applications, both governmental and pharmaceutical. 5 ID.9 Department: Chimica e Farmacia Visiting Period: ott-15-6 days Scientific research area: CHIM/08 CHIMICA FARMACEUTICA The visiting professor must be an expert of materials science, in the synthesis and characterization of new materials with particular reference to the structural and electronic properties. The visiting professor will be invited to do seminars and / or lectures related to the chemistry of materials, especially for the possible use in electronic and biomedical applications of new materials. The research activity will focus on various projects currently ongoing in UNISS. The visiting professor will also contribute to meetings with scientists in UNISS for possible collaborations under the HORIZON 2020 program. ID.10 Department: Chimica e Farmacia Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: CHIM/02 CHIMICA FISICA Chemist/Physicist/Materila Engineer with well acquainted knowledge in the field of synthesis and structure invetigations in nanoparticle metal oxides, catalysts and hydrogen storage materials. The candidate is exhorted to teach a series of seminars (two at least) addressed to students, graduate students and young researchers concerning the impact of the Nanotechnology in modern industry and research. Furthermore, research activity will be required for the development of new highly innovative composite materials for energy storage and conversion in a efficient and environmental friendly manner. ID.11 Department: Medicina Veterinaria Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: VET/02 FISIOLOGIA VETERINARIA Senior Scientist with proved research experience in animal reproduction, and especially in the study of the links between nutritional status and reproductive efficiency. Teaching activities will involve the dissemination of the results obtained in the latest research efforts to graduate students. Research activities will involve the participation in research protocols aimed at studying the endocrine and metabolic factors influencing, both in the pre- and in the post-natal period, the reproductive functions in small ruminants. At this purpose it will be required the use of non-invasive methods (ultrasound, MRI) to determine the ovarian phenotype, fetal growth and morphology. Pag. 5 di 27

6 ID.12 Department: Medicina Veterinaria Visiting Period: set-15-6 days Scientific research area: VET/10 CLINICA OSTETRICA E GINECOLOGIA VETERINARIA A short-visiting position is available for an experienced researcher in the area of reproduction and fertility in ruminants, focusing on ovarian follicular dynamics and oocyte and embryo quality. The researcher will hold scientific seminars on the factors that impact on reproductive efficiency and on the techniques to improve fertility in domestic ruminants. The seminars will be aimed at students and researchers as well as veterinary practitioners. He/she will take part in an ongoing research project at Uniss on the effects of maternal stress of lactation on offspring gonadal development in dairy cattle. He/she will critically revise the results obtained and will help define the new objectives of the research and the most effective paths to achieve them. ID.13 Department: Medicina Veterinaria Visiting Period: mar-15-6 days Scientific research area: VET/07 FARMACOLOGIA E TOSSICOLOGIA VETERINARIA Scientist with multi-year research and teaching experience on fish toxicology with particular reference to heavy metals and their effects Teaching toxicology of fish species with particular reference to microelements and heavy metals toxicity with seminars to be held within the official courses of the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Collaboration on the running researches of the receiving institution on toxicology emerging aspects of reared fish species. ID.14 Department: Medicina Veterinaria Visiting Period: feb-16-6 days Scientific research area: VET/04 ISPEZIONE DEGLI ALIMENTI DI ORIGINE ANIMALE Expertise on molecular analysis of spoilage or foodborne disease microbial agents with high persistance in the environment of food producing establishment The teaching assignment consists of lectures that will be helded in graduate and postgraduate courses concerning: a) the contamination and persistence of microorganisms that cause foodborne disease in the environment of food producing establishments; b) prevention and monitoring of microbial contamination in the environment of food producig establishments;c) identification, characterization and traceability of spoilage and foodborne disease microbial agents. A seminar concerning identification and characterization of microorganisms that cause foodborne will be also provided for PhD students. Pag. 6 di 27

7 ID.15 Department: Architettura, Design e Urbanistica Visiting Period: ott-15-6 days Scientific research area: ICAR/05 TRASPORTI Expert in transports at international level with long-term experience in-research and planning of integrated public transports, traffic,sustainable-mobility models and design of mobility public spac Contribution to the department classes and research on mobility and transport. Transfer of knowledge and long-term professional experience on transport planning and design as an integral part of settlements organisation at different spatial scales. Engagement consisting of: seminars and lectures- involvement in classes labs and participation to final exams- scientific supervision of researches concerning integrated public transports and urban regeneration, accessibility, changes in mobility lifestyles, sustainable models of mobility, non motorised modes, design of public spaces for movements ID.16 Department: Architettura, Design e Urbanistica Visiting Period: feb-16-6 days Scientific research area: ICAR/15 ARCHITETTURA DEL PAESAGGIO Lecturer with international teaching experience at postgraduate level in the area of landscape design. Teaching in design and planning laboratories within the Urban and Environmental Territorial Planning Programme. Collaboration with the teachers of the Course of Study in research activities regarding themes related to large-scale territorial planning, and urban and environmental policies. ID.17 Department: Architettura, Design e Urbanistica Visiting Period: ott-15-6 days Scientific research area: ICAR/13 DISEGNO INDUSTRIALE scholar in the field of product design with teaching background, and professional experience as consultant in product innovation, with empahsis on local materials, workmanship and craftsmanship The position includes organizing and running-in collaboration with one of our department's research units- a seminar based both on a series of lectures and presentations and on a design workshop. This activity is connected with a research track in the methodologies for fostering the development of design products connected with the local culture and dimension. 8 ID.18 Department: Architettura, Design e Urbanistica Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: ICAR/22 ESTIMO Scholar in the field of decision aiding tools with methods of multi-criteria analysis, with relevant theoretical production and a wide experience in application to territorial decision making. The scholar will predominantly be employed in the research on the evaluation of the urban quality of life in relation to the capability approach and urban walkability. -Teaching responsability is confined to holding two seminars: one at the graduate studies in planning and one at the doctoral school of the Department. ID.19 Department: Architettura, Design e Urbanistica Visiting Period: nov-15-6 days Scientific research area: AGR/14 PEDOLOGIA Properties and management of forest soils--soils and plant nutrition--soil fertility and nutrients in forest soils--use and management of industrial and urban residues in forest soils--biocharsoil Teaching activities:lessons and seminars, on different aspects related to forest soils, for college and graduate students. Research activities: Research activities will be mainly related on the aspects concerning appropriate techniques in order to restore and improve soil functionality, with particular emphasis for soils characterizing the forest environment. The basic concept will be to design and take appropriate action by which to recover and/or rebuild soils using suitable materials (both of mineral as well as organic origin) from anthropic activities. ID.20 Department: Giurisprudenza Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: IUS/10 DIRITTO AMMINISTRATIVO Senior professor expert on administrative law with specialist knowledge of cultural property law and urban planning It is required to hold seminars and to teach some lessons during the university course of administrative law, urban planing, and the "Master in Diritto ed economia per la cultura e l'arte. Participation to a Research project, coordinated by G. Lobrano on the constitutional problem of the citizens rights defense and the roman democratic-republican and federative-municipal model, within the framework of international co-operation between University of Bologna, University of Brescia, University of Roma Tor Vergata, University of Sassari, Unión Nacional de Juristas de Cuba, University of Pinar del Rio, University of Havana. ID.22 Department: Giurisprudenza Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: IUS/10 DIRITTO AMMINISTRATIVO Senior visiting professor expert on administrative law, with deep knowledge of development and exploitation of art and museum events. It is appreciated a collaboration with international organization It is required to hold seminars and to teach some lessons during the university course of administrative law, and the "Master in "Diritto ed economia per la cultura e l'arte. ID.23 Department: Scienze Economiche e Aziendali Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: SECS P/02 POLITICA ECONOMICA Expert in the field of urban, regional and international economics applied to the study of theoretical and empirical models on the topics related to interregional e international migration. During the visit, the researcher is expected to: Give research seminars to the local community of researchers and interacting with reserachers at Disea in order to establish possible research collaboration. ID.24 Department: Scienze Economiche e Aziendali Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: SECS-P/01 ECONOMIA POLITICA Macroeconomics,Monetary Economics,Nominal Rigidities and Dynamic General Equilibrium Models. The visitor is expected to give a seminar, interact with the local research community, and participate as scientific organiser to the annual workshop on Institutions, Individual Behavior, and Economic Outcomes organised by Disea in collaboration with CRENOS Pag. 9 di 27

10 ID.25 Department: Scienze Economiche e Aziendali Visiting Period: set-15-6 days Scientific research area: SECS-S/04 DEMOGRAFIA A high profile scholar with extensive experience in network analysis applied to social sciences and computer processing of genealogical data, kinship networks for the study of the past populations. The researcher will hold a seminar for the researchers and the phd students,of the Department and will interact with the proposer and her staff for the development of future joint researches. ID.26 Department: Scienze Economiche e Aziendali Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: SECS-P/01 ECONOMIA POLITICA Outstanding scholar in the field of empirical legal studies, with specific interests concerning deterrence, optimal sanctions and effectiveness of ordinary and alternative dispute resolution methods. Applied studies exploiting two unique dataset developed by DiSEA researchers on kidnapping incidents and international arbitration awards. ID.27 Department: Scienze Economiche e Aziendali Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: SECS-P/01 ECONOMIA POLITICA The candidate should hold a PhD in economics with excellent knowledge of applied microeconomics and econometrics for the study of law and economics issues such as optimal punishment and deterrence. The candidate will interact with a group of researchers from DiSea and will give at least a seminar on his/her most recent works. ID.28 Department: Scienze Chirurgiche, Microchirurgiche e Mediche Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: MED/40 GINECOLOGIA E OSTETRICIA The Professor required must be a physician expert in Gynecologic Surgery, laparoscopic surgeon expert in diagnosis and treatment of gynecological cancer pathologies. The Professor must have a documented scientific production related surgery pelvic cancer pathologies.-the aim of the visit will be to train medical personnel host in the research in the field of pelvic disease cancer surgery. The Professor will make diagnostic and therapeutic protocols that allow early diagnosis of gynaecological diseases and effective and safe treatment. The Professor will perform exercises in the operating room teaching mini-invasive laparoscopic approach to Gynecologic oncological diseases. Pag. 10 di 27

11 ID.29 Department: Scienze Chirurgiche, Microchirurgiche e Mediche Visiting Period: apr-15-6 days Scientific research area: MED/28 MALATTIE ODONTOSTOMATOLOGICHE World famous researcher in the Community and Epidemiologic Dentistry field. He/she will be involved in community dentistry epidemiology and prevention programmes focused on risk subjects. The course will be provided for dental students, dental hygienist students, PhD students. The aim of the lectures will be: a- provide knowledge on the main oral diseases- b-calibration and reliability of the participants on the new oral diseases epidemiological indices- c- writing from the students of a complete oral health prevention programme. The course will be in two modules: theoretical lectures, practical work on phantom head and on pc. ID.30 Department: Scienze Chirurgiche, Microchirurgiche e Mediche Visiting Period: set-15-6 days Scientific research area: MED/38 PEDIATRIA GENERALE E SPECIALISTICA Professor of Pediatrics with clinical research experience on high quality medical care and state-ofthe-art techniques in diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional disorders. The professor must share own clinical expertise in gastrointestinal, hepatic and nutritional disorders, particularly pediatric liver diseases and will share current clinical trial and research activity in pediatric hepatitis B and C, metabolic and autoimmune hepatitis. The professor will be involved in meetings to create research collaborations in biliary atreisia and autoimmune hepatitis as well as in the Federation of International Societies of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition activities including Hepatitis B and C, Acute Gastroenteritis, and Malnutrition/Obesity. ID.31 Department: Scienze Biomediche Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/09 FISIOLOGIA The visiting professor must be an expert in the field of bionanotechnology and in particular on carbon-based materials. The visiting professor will give lecture and / or lessons about the nanobiotechnology field. The seminars will involve students and professors of the University of Sassari, in particular from the PhD Course in Life Sciences and Biotechnologies. The visiting professor, thanks to the knowledge on biotechnology field, will be involved in meetings to promote possible collaborations related to the HORIZON 2020 program. Pag. 11 di 27

12 ID.32 Department: Scienze Biomediche Visiting Period: ott-15-6 days Scientific research area: MED/07 MICROBIOLOGIA E MICROBIOLOGIA CLINICA Expert in immunology of the nervous system, with a special focus on neuroimmunology of MS, with an emphasis on the mechanisms of nervous tissue damage by Immune cells induced by bacteria and virus. Collaboration project in innate and adaptive immune system in multiple sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (CNS). Focuses on how Toll-like receptors (TLRs) modulate the function of human regulatory T cells (Tregs). Another theme is on how infections of Bacteria and virus influence to develop and progression of MS. The Visiting professor should give a seminaries to Ph.D. students. ID.33 Department: Scienze Biomediche Visiting Period: apr-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/10 BIOCHIMICA We are looking for an expert at least ten years experience, with strong scientific knowledge in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. The researcher will held lectures and seminars for students and graduate students within Scientific Faculties. These seminars will cover new therapeutic approaches in clinical practice, with particular reference to regenerative medicine and new technologies for tissue engineering. Seminars will also be addressed to the research group with which a partnership will be established, and specific research projects will be defined, establishing the scientific roles of each component. ID.34 Department: Scienze Biomediche Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/17 ISTOLOGIA iphd international scientist, toxicity expert of environmental metals and mechanisms and homeostasis of cadmium toxicity in animal cells The scientist could develop at least 2 or 3 lessons for a total of around 6 hours to popular scientific character with ECM for the scientific students.besides he will develop seminars and practical exercises for PhD students and experienced researchers of metals. 13 ID.35 Department: Scienze Biomediche Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/10 BIOCHIMICA We search a candidate with an appropriate seniority and strong expertise in differentiation pathways and carcinogenesis. Areas of interest: chromatin-remodeling complexes, stem cells. The selected candidate will contribute to both teaching and research.teaching is required in the general area of Molecular Biology and Cancer, of particular interest are topics regarding regulation of gene expression and epigenetic preferably in the contest of differentiation and cancer.the candidate during his visit will provide expert advice, conduct seminars, and collaborate on projects about differentiation and cancer, within the Department of Biomedical Sciences. ID.36 Department: Dipartimento di Medicina Clinica e Sperimentale Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: BIO/14 FARMACOLOGIA Neuroscience, Neuropsychopharmacology, Compulsive Behavior, Epigenetics, in vivo Voltammetric Tecniques, FSCV, EEG, DBS, Behavioral and Experimental Pharmacology, Catecholamines. The Visiting Professor will carry out teaching and/or research activities related to the major topics of the stay. In particular, the candidate will be involved in 3 lectures to PhD and medical students on issues concerning Neuroscience, Compulsive Behavior, Epigentics, catecholaminergic neurotransmitters and Psychopharmacology. Regarding research activities, the candidate will address the integration between different analytical techniques for in vivo and in real-time monitoring in animal models such as amperometric sensors, DBS and EEG. ID.37 Department: Dipartimento di Medicina Clinica e Sperimentale Visiting Period: giu-15-6 days Scientific research area: MED/09 MEDICINA INTERNA The visiting professor must possess significant expertise in allergology and cellular immunology- The professor will be working on both teaching and research activities.-seminars will be organized on allergic pathology. The research activity-will focus on various projects currently ongoing in UNISS. 14 ID.38 Department: Dipartimento di Medicina Clinica e Sperimentale Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: MED/11 MALATTIE DELL'APPARATO CARDIOVASCOLARE The Visiting professor must be a cardiologist with well documented clinical and research expertise on hypertrophic cardiomyopathies, with emphasis on genetic and molecular mechanisms The Visiting professor will be involved in both teaching and research activities. Seminars on the genetic and molecular bases of idiopathic myocardial hypertrophy will be organized for students, fellows and researchers. Research meetings will be focused on ongoing UNISS projects on hypertrophic and storage cardiomyopathies, also in the perspective of possible collaborations for european research projects in the frame of the HORIZON 2020 program. ID.39 Department: Storia, Scienze dell Uomo e della Formazione Visiting Period: mag-15-6 days Scientific research area: M-PED/03 DIDATTICA E PEDAGOGIA SPECIALE PhD in psychology and pedagogy, teaching -at various universities in and outside Europe- of Education and school organization, coordinator of international research projects international Lessons with CFU and free for undergraduate and master's degree in education, also aimed at promoting student mobility. Seminars with researchers for the development of partnerships for projects and research products- supervision and doctoral seminars, also aimed at promoting the mobility of researchers. Conferences open to school staff.
