4 What is BMS? A computerized based system to centrally monitor and control the building service equipment through the distributed outstations (Direct Digital Controller) directly or communication protocol to link with other computerized systems via gateways indirectly

5 What BMS does? 6 Concerns from the viewpoint of customers BMS vendors implement their systems by different protocols and net works, those system may not be communicate to share the data or need a dedicated gateway to achieve data sharing Outcomes : less freedom to change operation inefficiency, inconvenience longest learning period for different systems not effective from the viewpoint of cost of operation and maintenance
