1 Articulation Agreement Minot State University, Minot, ND and North Dakota State College ofscience, Wahpeton, ND Mays, 2013 The purpose of this articulation agreement is to enable North Dakota State College of Science students who have earned their Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) degree to transfer to Minot State University (MSU) and enter the Registered Nursing (RN) to Bachelor of Science In Nursing (BSN) online program. The agreement will provide a structure through which transfer articulation can be supported. Therefore, it would be understood and agreed that courses taken at the North Dakota State College of Science are considered equally transferable into Minot State Universit/s RN to BSN online program. Transfer Requirements Students Must: 1. Complete an Associate in Science in Nursing Degree (ASN) from the North Dakota State College of Science, North Dakota University System (NDUS) general education requirements will then be complete and Minot State University will identify this on a Minot State University transcript. 2. Have a 2.5 Cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale 3. Pass NCLEX-RN a. Submit proof of current unencumbered RN license to MSU Department of Nursing 4. Apply for admission to Minot State University a. Complete MSU Application b. $35.00 application fee 5. Supply Minot State University with all required documents: a. Official transcripts from all colleges attended sent to MSU Admissions/Enrollment Services b. Appropriate evidence of immunizations/tb testing 6. Meet all deadlines set by Minot State University 7. Apply to Minot State University's Department of Nursing a. Complete RN to BSN online program for Nursing Major application form b. Submit $25.00 mandatory application fee c. Request an appointment with RN to BSN online program Advanced Standing Director for an informal review of prior coursework to begin a plan of study d. Students who have graduated from a board approved nursing education program and have passed NCLEX-RN need to: make application to the Department of Nursing and submit current unencumbered RN license documentation to the Department of Nursing e. Students who have graduated from a board approved nursing education program and have not passed NCLEX-RN may take the following courses before acceptance into the program: general education courses, required support course, NURS 363 Research & Theory, NURS 383 Professional Nursing I, and Special Topics course approved by the Nursing Department f. Submit current CPR certification documentation 8. Be in good standing with prior institution \

This agreement will be reviewed annually by the Nursing Chair of each program, the Assistant VPfor Enrollment Management at MInot State University and the Associate VPfor Academic and Student Affairs at North Dakota State College of Science. The parties, by the signature of their authorized representative{s), hereby acknowledge that they have read this agreement, understand it and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.
