For post of Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics Only Non Medical candidates can apply. For rest of the departments only Medical candidates can apply. 2. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: a). For Medical Candidates i). A postgraduate medical degree viz. MD/MS/MDS in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

3 ii). For the Post of Geriatric Medicine A Postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Geriatric Medicine or MD in Medicine from a recognized university/institute. iii). For the post of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorder A Postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Medicine or MD in Respiratory Medicine from a recognized university/institute. iv). For the post of Emergency Medicine A postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Medicine from a recognized university/institute. v). For the post of Laboratory Medicine:- A postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Laboratory Medicine / Pathology / Microbiology / Biochemistry from a recognized University / Institute. b). For Non-Medical Candidates (For subjects of Anatomy, Biophysics and Pharmacology) i). The candidate should possess M.Sc Degree in the subject concerned and (ii). Ph.D in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute. c). For the posts of Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics M.Sc in Medical Physics with one year experience OR its equivalent recognized qualification OR M.Sc in Physics with Diploma in Radiological Physics. (In the event of candidate having M.Sc with Ph.D, the pay scale will be as in the case of other Non-Medical candidates with PhD). 3. UPPER AGE LIMIT (AS ON ) a) For eligibility to applying for these posts upper age limit as on will be 33 years. This is relaxable for SC/ST candidate for a maximum period of five years. In the case of OBC candidates it is relaxable upto a maximum period of three years. In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, this is relaxable upto maximum period of 05 years for General Category, 08 years for OBC category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates. b) For those applying for these posts after completing DM/M.Ch Courses, the upper age limit will be 35 years. The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC candidates & OPH candidates as above. c) For those candidates who are applying for the post of Senior Resident in department of Hospital Administration, the upper age limit as on will be 40 years. The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC candidates & OPH candidates as above. 4. To be eligible for selection for these posts, the candidate should have passed the qualifying examination by & result declared to this effect on or before by this date. The tenure of qualifying degree should also be finishing latest by Only those candidate who have been declared successful in their qualifying degree exam/viva i.e MD/MS/Phd and will be completing their tenure for the same on or before will be eligible to the considered for these posts. In case of those who have appeared for exam / viva voce and result is yet to be declared then applicant will be allowed to appear in theory and/or interview provisionally subject to production of certificate of successfully passing / qualifying PG / PhD exam and completion of tenure for this course latest by 5.00 PM on

4 To be eligible for final selection, such certificate/proof of passing, should be submitted latest by 5.00 PM on in physical form in Academic Section. Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of their candidature. Any certificate received after 5.00 PM on will not be considered and candidature will stand cancelled. In cases where result is declared after , their candidature will stand cancelled and no claim for selection on the basis of theory exam and Interview allowed provisionally will be considered. 5. The candidates who are in service in any Govt. Hospital/ Institutions are required to submit their application through proper channel only. The candidates will not be permitted for Examination /Interview if their applications are not routed through proper channel (EMPLOYER). If it is brought to the notice of authorities at any stage that the candidate had not submitted application through proper channel, then candidature will stand cancelled and in case of selected candidate, services will be terminated immediately. 6. APPLICATION FEE: (i) (ii) (iii) General/OBC category: Rs.1,000/- + transaction charges as applicable. SC/ST category: Rs.800/- + transaction charges as applicable. Payment should be made online or Debit/Credit Card online through computer generated challan form in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) (Please refer to instructions given in this regard). 7. PAY SCALES (i). For Medical candidates Rs.18, (Grade Pay)+NPA plus other usual Allowances. (ii). For Non-Medical candidates MSc. with Ph.D Rs.16, (Grade Pay) plus other usual Allowances. (iii). For post of Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics, (those with MSc) of Rs.12,090 plus 4200 (Grade Pay) plus other usual Allowance. 8. RESERVATION (For SC, ST & OBC & OPH Candidates):- (i). Reservation has been provided in the above posts in accordance with law i.e 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST & 27% for OBC. (The appointment made pursuant to this advertisement shall be tentative and subject to further orders of the Hon ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal 5119/02 & High Court Civil writ petition 4/07). (ii). Reservation for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped Candidates is 3% (i.e. 06 seats) which will be provided on horizontal basis to OPH candidate in their respective categories. Criteria for Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped: Candidates with disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% shall be considered and in case candidates are not available of such disability in the category, then the candidates with disability of lower limbs between 40% to 50% will also be considered for admission. The disability certificate should be issued by an authorized Medical Board of the State or Central Govt. Hospitals/Institutions.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: a) The Candidate can apply in only any one out of 40 s as enlisted. b) An online written Examination of 80 Marks based on MCQs in the subject concerned (total marks 80) will be conducted for eligible Candidate on (Sunday) in Delhi/NCR only. The exact time and place will be intimated in due course of time through admit card. The Admit Cards of eligible candidates will be uploaded on website aiimsexams.org w.e.f Candidates are required to take print out of their Admit Card & produce the same at the centre for written test. Please note that Admit Card(s) will not be sent by post. c) The result of the written examination will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Examination Section at AIIMS as well as AIIMS websites and on The Interview will be held on the following dates as indicated against each date of interviews i.e. Number wise. (Saturday) 32 to 40 (Lab Medicine to Blood Bank (Trauma) Counseling (Tuesday at Noon) d) The Candidates are required to bring all their original certificates such as Date of Birth, Qualifying degrees (MD/MS/MDS/PhD/MSc/Others), registration with MCI/State Medical Council certificate of belonging to respective category i.e SC, ST, OBC - valid for central government jobs & OPH, as applicable, at the time of Interview for Verification before they are allowed to appear for interview. The candidates are to report for the interview at 9.30 AM sharp at LT-1/3, First/Third Floor, Teaching Block. e) The total number of candidates eligible to be called for the interview will be two times the number of advertised seats (but not less than 3 in any category or subject) advertised in the respective group for various categories. Candidates qualifying under OPH category may be over and above this number. f) The Interview will carry 20 marks. g) The merit list(s) for all categories i.e SC/ST/OBC/UR shall be prepared on the basis of combined marks of written test and interview.

6 h) After filling available posts all remaining candidates called for interview shall be kept in the waiting list which will be valid till i). j). Any vacancy arising because of non joining by selected candidates in this selection or by resignation of candidates who had joined after selection in this session of Jan, 2014 will be offered to the Candidates from the waiting list according to their merit. Candidates who have applied under for posts, falling within a group, may take note that during their tenure they may be rotated as and when required amongst any of the departments of the group. k) The Counseling for allocation of seats with in various groups only will be held on at Noon in the Jawahar Lal Nehru Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi. The merit list for counselling for seats in these groups of the candidates for these groups will be displayed on the Notice Board, Academic Section on by AM.
