9 Research centres at the University Objectives: to cultivate a competitive profile, to build and maintain our image, to acquire further research projects, and to create more opportunities for appointing leading scholars. Action needed: create incentives for firstrate scholars to engage in inter-departmental collaboration that goes beyond their individual projects. Selection process: internal competition, three-year grant, after which time a new proposal must be submitted; launched in October
