2 Green Source Natural Environmental Systems understand the importance pond owners place upon maintaining their pond as naturally as possible and limiting the dependence on chemical water treatments. It is for this reason they have created Green Source. Green Source is our designation used to identify those Pond Keeper products that are made only from all natural ingredients that are ecologically responsible and safe for people, fish and pets. It is our way of helping our customers more easily select the products that will help them keep their ponds clean and clear without compromising their belief in natural pond maintenance. To find Pond Keeper products that are all natural and chemical free, look for the Green Source logo in this catalog, on our product labels and on our website. BENEFICIAL BACTERIA Pond Keeper All Season Hybrid Pond Bacteria This product contains an advanced blend of photosynthetic and heterotrophic pond bacteria, chosen for their ability to

3 work synergistically together in water gardens and ponds, to create a healthy and balanced eco-system. Photosynthetic bacteria are more aggressive than standard heterotrophic pond bacteria, but are limited by their need for sunlight. Heterotrophic pond bacteria are not as aggressive, but will perform 24 hours a day, without sunlight. This formulation provides the best of both types of pond bacteria, and eliminates the drawbacks of each. Initial Dose: Apply 8 ounces per 1000 gallons of water. Follow-up Dose: Apply 4 ounces per 1000 gallons weekly for 4 weeks. Maintenance Dose: Apply 4 ounces per 1000 gallons every 2-4 weeks as needed. Pond Keeper beneficial pond bacteria products utilize specific strains of allnatural bacteria selected for their extraordinary ability to degrade organic waste commonly found in water environments. BENEFITS Easy to use Creates a clean clear pond Restores biological activity Breaks down excess fish food, fish waste, dead algae and other organic waste Reduces ammonia and nitrogen levels Reduces odors Seeds biological filters Safe for fish, pets and people. Pond Keeper pond bacteria can be applied in ponds that contain aquatic life such as fish and plants. Beneficial bacteria should not be applied with algaecides. Any pond bacteria application should be made hours after an algaecide/ herbicide application. 3
