6 network of centers in several locations in Austria and Slovakia for children and adolescents with learning disabilities. Andy Chicken, Mag. Art., Gestalt-Psychotherapist and Artist, born in Italy, lives in Austria since His approach to the psychotherapeutic work is expression in every possible form seen as selfrealisation. From my original profession as an artist, i now also work on the artistic point of view and what it introduces in therapy. I try to emphasize the interaction of doing and perceiving in the various forms of expression. Brigitte Rasmus, Dipl.Psych., Psychol.Psychotherapist, was lecturer at several universities, currently teaching integrative Gestalttherapy at SFU, Co-founder of the Institute of Integrative Gestalttherapy IGW, Gestalttrainer since more than 35 years and very interested in working with dreams. Course Description Music and the Soul Peter Wehle "Music" - a magical-sounding word. How many of us believe that it can reach our souls, can influence the very way we feel? Does music work miracles? In "Music and the soul" Peter Wehle explores the history and possibilities of music therapy, and reviews the underlying scientific principles. Art brut Eva Pritz Topic is the development of Art brut with focus on Austrian artists. In the afternoon we will visit the Art brut Center in Gugging. Self Awareness Karl Golling This is a unique opportunity to focus your attention on your self. We will follow the idea of 'Who am I?' to 'Who am I in a group of similar beings?' within the frame of groupanalytic principles.
7 Psychoanalysis and Movies Karl Golling Movies, like stories, give us the opportunity to look into other worlds to which we might not have access to. In this session we will start with dreams - even Freuds own dreams - move with our eye and sould on to psychological development (normal and pathological), then small group and large group behavior and how all this is reflected in movies. Writing and Psychoanalysis Helga Klug The aim of this lecture is to analyse and discuss the influence of psychoanalysis on contemporary literature at the time of S. Freud. The lecture will be based on selected novellas and texts, diary entries as well as private letters. The psychoanalytic theory of creativity forms a further focal point of the lecture. The participants will have the opportunity to engage in special techniques of writing and then to reflect on the process of writing. Specific aspects of archetypal obsessions prevailing in literature - representing special disease patterns - will be discussed according to the interests of the students. Psychodrama Ivana Slavkovic The psychodrama workshop aims to present the classical psychodrama - one of the oldest psychotherapeutic modalities based in the theoretical concepts of his founder, Viennese psychiatrist and psychotherapist J. L. Moreno. Psychodrama was the first school of psychotherapy that used action methods that are focused on both body and mind. Developed in 1920ees and 1930tees Psychodrama is rooted in humanistic philosophy and therefore its approach towards the human being is holistic. Psychodrama approach is also based on the idea that relationships are the crucial factor in human development and that a person can not be understood separately from his/her social group. The participants of the workshop will be offered information about the major theoretical concepts of psychodrama such as: creativity, spontaneity, action, encounter, role theory etc. Modern Psychoanalysis Alfred Pritz In this seminar we will deal with current discussions about contemporary psychoanalysis: What of Freuds discoveries are still relevant? How do we apply Psychoanalysis to different patient groups, what is the future of psychoanalysis?
8 Systemic Family Therapy Imre Márton Reményi Based on the knowledge and experience of the participants this workshop will touch the approach, practice and more specialized tools of systemic therapy with regard to the cases and interests of those participating. Please bring along your questions - and answers. Individual Psychology Brigitte Sindelar In 1911 Alfred Adler broke away from the psychoanalytic school of Sigmund Freud and founded his own version of Psychoanalysis, first under the name of free psychoanalysis, later under the name of Individual psychology. A hundred years later a new group of Individual Psychologists implemented a recently accredeted course for Individual Psychology at the SFU has been accredited. From the first published works of Alfred Adler up to the very latest papers the theoretical developments of Individual Psychology especially concerning their basic terms - will be discussed in this course. Art Therapy Andy Chicken Using art for the psychotherapeutic process leads us to not give too much importance to the product, but to experience what arrises and what we get in touch with when we use materials, instruments and try new approaches to express ourselves. The workshop gives the possibility to open the mind for new experiences. We move from one expression to the other, simultaneously from one perception to the other, creating continuity, the self. Gestalt Therapy Brigitte Rasmus Dreamwork in Integrative Gestalttherapy. During this Day there will be theory and demonstration about working with dreams in Gestalt Therapy as well as experiential work in small groups.
