8 Youth Ministry Program St. Paul s Church / Social Hall Terri Konwinski, Youth Minister Our Youth Ministry program offers a safe environment for teenagers to come and form a community with peers who share common values; moreover, to develop individuals with a Catholic foundation and strong moral character to take with them beyond St. Paul of Tarsus. Youth Ministry is a part of the on-going faith formation at St. Paul s, offering theology, service, leadership, fun, support, prayer, community and belief. Within Youth Ministry there are opportunities for young people to form a community, learn about their faith, lead by example, serve others, and have fun. 9 A Message from our Pastor and Parish Catechetical Leader... I welcome all of you to a new year of Religious Education. To you who are parents and guardians, I hope you take most seriously the promise you made at the baptism of your children to raise them in our faith in the best possible way. That will be done by YOUR EXAMPLE. Please bring your children to Mass every Sunday and teach them, by your example, how important the Eucharist is in their lives. Blessings always, Father Ron St. Paul of Tarsus Parish is the Eucharistic community and heart of liturgical and catechetical formation in the life of your family. I am pleased to be a part of the catechetical ministry with you and our entire community. This flip book is primarily a calendar for the religious education component of our parish. Together with you, I look forward to our life in faith. Joyfully, Claudia
10 Please remember... Call our office at if your child will be absent. DO NOT CALL WYANDOT SCHOOL. Attendance is recorded, and if a child has frequent absences, parents will be contacted. Children are to be walked into and out of the school do not drop them off outside. Only use the Garfield Road entrance. SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT sheets are posted by the classrooms these must be filled out. If your child must leave class early for any reason (appointments, sports activities, etc.) our staff must be notified either in person or in writing. No food or beverages are to be brought into the school. No edible items will be given to the children by our staff. No cell phones or other electronic devices are to be brought into the classroom. If Chippewa Valley Schools are closed due to inclement weather our classes are cancelled. Even if bad weather improves during the daytime, no classes or activities are held in the evening.
11 Mark your calendars... This year we are adding required dates to our calendar for all Level 1-8 students, Classroom and Home Teach, to attend at St. Paul s. The days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are in addition to regular classes at Wyandot and at Church. Tuesday, November 1 All Saints, Holy Day of Obligation 7:00 Mass Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday November 7, 8, 9 Parish Mission 7:00 pm Thursday, December 8 Immaculate Conception, Holy Day of Obligation 7:00 Mass Wednesday, February 22 Ash Wednesday 7:00 Mass
