4 The job is dynamic, challenging, can change at any point. There are assumptions or perceptions of what the job should be or could be! Need to understand that you are evaluated by the public. The Public has there own perception!

5 Understand Your Response Area Expectations of what that is. Who do you work with? Who don t you work with? Why do you need to work with them? Oh, by the way you need to understand your area Geographically.

12 Resources Two Kinds People and Equipment. What do you really need. What do you think you need. Never enough to go around How well do you know the resources in your County. Do you know where they are? What will it take to obtain them?

13 You need to be able to recognize all of your assets, where they are and who controls them. Develop a relationship with those individuals or departments. Just because they are County resources does not mean you control them or can have them!
