3 What is the AIT-Tiger Leong International Innovation Camp? The AIT-Tiger Leong International Innovation Camp is a fully sponsored camp which will be held at the world renowned AIT campus in Bangkok, Thailand for a period of two weeks during the winter break of December 2016 for selected bright undergraduate students from top Universities around the Asian region. The camp will be conducted with a special emphasis on innovation. After successful completion the Camp, all participating students will produce an innovative idea concept note and will be provided with the Certificate of Recognition signed by AIT. 3

4 Why attend the camp? It will provide exposure to gain theoretical and practical knowledge about innovative approaches in various sectors through experienced faculty members, laboratory facilities and field visits It will provide an opportunity for cross cultural exchange and leadership by conducting cross cultural group works, presentations, debates It will provide knowledge, build awareness, enhance problem solving skills and learn about the current issues and challenges both within the regional and global context The camp will be fun, interactive, exciting, dynamic and challenging at the same time It will help inspire and motivate students in choosing the right field of study to pursue higher education and plan future career paths 4

5 When will the camp be held? The camp will be held during the winter break of December 2016 and will be conducted for a total of two weeks from 2 rd December to 16 th December December 2016 Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat What are the activities planned for the Camp? The camp will be highly interactive in nature. The Innovation Camp will be conducted through Classroom Sessions, Laboratory Work, Field Visits, Forums/Workshops, Fun Group Work Activities, Seminars and Presentations and Interactions with Invited Speakers. 5

6 Week 1 Focus Week 1 of the camp will enable participants to learn about what each field of study has to offer along with the various career prospects and industry trends. Week 2 Focus The second week will focus on inter-disciplinary topics where students will learn about key issues and challenges in today s world which requires the strength of multiple fields of studies to tackle them. Introduction and overview of the different fields of study i.e. Management, Engineering and Development Career prospects according to field of study Interaction with invited speakers and key experts from the Industry Seminar and Workshops on current ongoing issues Educational Site Visits Fun Group work activities to solve challenging problems Innovative approaches to tackle current problems/ challenges/issues Brainstorming Sessions Industry Trends and current challenges Laboratory Visits Leadership Training 6

7 Who can apply? The camp is open for students who are currently in their third year of undergraduate studies How to apply? Students wishing to apply for the camp must have a score of a minimum of 3.5 GPA to be eligible for application All students chosen will be based on merit i.e. current GPA and submitted essays which will be evaluated and judged Students must possess a valid passport which allows them to visit Thailand Students must demonstrate fluency in English Interested students are requested to apply for the Camp by visiting the website given below: The camp will be fully sponsored with all expenses paid that includes flight tickets, accommodation, food and daily allowance.
