2 Conditions of entry 1. Entering this competition constitutes acknowledgement that PCAV rules apply and acceptance of these rules 2. Before riding: A Liability Declaration form must be completed and signed by everyone, including pony club members. A $10 day attendance fee must be paid by any competitor who is unable to present a current pony club member card, Equestrian Australia (EA) membership, HRCAV, Arab Horse Society of Australia (AHSA) or Australian Endurance Riders Association (AERA) to the event secretary s office. PCAV club member cards must be inspected at the secretary s office 3. No stallions, colts or rigs 4. All riders must wear complying helmets. Riding boots must be worn at all times while mounted. Gear check for pony club sections will be done in the first class (open sections excluded) 5. MEDICAL ARMBANDS to be worn in pony club ring 6. Pony club Ring PCAV rules apply Pony club uniform to be worn Snaffle bits only Within the last 12 months attendance 5 rallies for junior members under 17yrs, & 2 rallies for Associate members 17-25yrs Rider/Mount combination must have attended 2 rallies within the previous 12 months. 7. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Queries, protests, horse abuse as per the PCAV Handbook of By-laws. A competitor may lodge a protest in writing with a $50 fee with the event secretary no later than one hour after the happening that gave rise to the protest. The jury of appeal or appropriate persons will consider the protest and their decision is final. 8. Lunch break at Judges Discretion. 9. DOGS ARE PROHIBITED 10. You must compete as either a Hunter or Open for the whole day. If you win a Champion in one ring for that class you can t compete for the same championship in another ring. (Except Ring3 Class 2&3 can compete in Hunter gear) 11. No refunds on unused tickets 12. Riddells Creek PC reserves the right to cancel any class or competition; divide any class; alter times; refuse entry with or without stating the reason 13. Topsy Ring This ring is for riders who are not regular show riders. Please do not spoil it for those who are not. No jackets or plaiting. You cannot compete in any other ring. 14. ALL COMPETITORS COMPETE AT OWN RISK 15. Cross country course is NOT to be used at any time. 16. Neither the organising committee of this competition nor the PCAV accepts any responsibility whatsoever for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, ground spectators or any other person or property 17. PCAV Alcohol Policy applies. Alcohol drinking not allowed for anyone on the grounds during the show 18. All riders including Pony Club Members must complete a Biosecurity Form & hand in this form at the office before riding. 19. Lunging is only permitted before 8.30am & in ring 5 only.

Protection is afforded to the Day Participant under the PCAV Public Liability policy, only whilst participating in activities organised and/or run by the PCAV Club at that event, where they are liable for causing bodily injury or property damage to others, excluding whilst travelling to and from such event. By signing this form, you agree to abide by the Rules & Conditions of the PCAV and any Rules of the event. For every Entrant who does NOT have a current and proven Public Liability insurance to the minimum of $10, a payment is due of $10.00 per person per day (including GST), to cover the cost of participation with this Pony Club for each day of this event. Horse Sports are a Dangerous Activity I, the undersigned, in consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in horse sport activities and in particular this event, acknowledge and accept that: Horse sports are a dangerous recreational activity and horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable way, especially if frightened or hurt. There is a significant risk that serious injury or death may result from horse sport activities and in particular this event and freely assume all such risks, even if arising from the negligence of PCAV and/or the event organiser / official. I voluntarily participate at my own risk and assume sole responsibility for any injury, death or property damage I may suffer that arises from my participation in horse sport activities.

11 I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during the activity and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and that any misconduct or refusal by me to follow any direction of any organiser or official can result in the cancellation of my participation in the event and my immediate removal from my horse no matter where that may occur. I further agree to abide by the Rules and Conditions of this event and the official Rule Book of the Pony Club Association of Victoria. I understand that any such non-compliance may result in injury, death and/or permanent disability and I agree to indemnify PCAV against all claims made by any person as a result of my failure to comply. I agree to wear a helmet at all times whilst riding and agree that I am solely responsible for ensuring that I wear a suitable helmet at all times while riding and take sole responsibility for my actions. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless and agree not to sue the proprietors of the Pony Club Association of Victoria and/or the event organiser, their officers, officials, volunteers, coaches, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, state bodies, affiliated clubs and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the activities (all of whom are referred to as Releasees ) with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise. Effect of this Document - I have had sufficient opportunity to read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without inducement of any kind. I understand that my signature to this document constitutes a complete and unconditional release of all liability of the Releasees, to the greatest extent allowed by law in the event of me and/or the children under my care, suffering injury or death. In consideration of your accepting my participation, I hereby undertake to indemnify the organising body against all claims, losses, suits and damages made against or suffered by the organising body by reason of any negligent act or omission on the part of any rider, driver, trainer or attendant whilst he/she is attending, riding, driving or otherwise handling any horse so entered or any other horse owned or entered by me, and I agree that any act or omission on the part of such rider, driver, handler or attendant found in any action against you to be negligent shall be deemed to have been negligent for the purpose of any claim under this indemnity. Further, I agree to abide by the Rules & Conditions and current Rule Book as laid down by the Pony Club Association of Victoria and/or contained in any official event schedule and I also agree to abide by all of the Event Venue rules regarding use of their centre and its facilities.
