1 CUPA FACULTY SALARY COMPARISONS East Carolina University The data in this table was generated from the CUPA Faculty Salary Study Data-on-Demand report generator. Key N - Number of Incumbents. However, statistics will not display when the Number of Institutions is less than 5 (too few data) or, if weighted statistics are selected, when one institution's data comprise more than 25% of the total (unbalanced data). * ECU's official peer institutions were used to determine 80th percentile and a range (maximum and minimum) was established. The minimum was set to 70.31% of the 80th percentile and the maximum was set to 112.5% of the 80th percentile. When salary data were not available for our official peer institutions, the 80th percentile calculations were performed using public doctoral and research universities. Salaries tend to be higher in the public research and doctorate comparison group than in the official peer institution comparison group due to the nature and number of institutions included.
