3 The development of this new product is inspired by the growth of the Murphy wall bed business and the industry s need for a better designed wall bed system. Growth in Europe strongly indicated that there was a need for a simple bed mechanism with a slatted mattress base. With Murphy Bed's associates in the USA, Europe and Asia, we decided to create a global product that would retain many of the features of the old Murphy Bed but offer the user a vastly improved and more comfortable sleep system. Nothing had been done to improve or re-think the 100 year old Murphy concept to bring it into modern light - until now! What for decades was an iron contraption bolted to the floor with a flimsy mattress, foundation and cheap materials now has an engineering and aesthetic make-over: Welcome NeXt Bed, the new global product. NEXT BED WITH SIDE SHELVES DIY FLAT PACK WallBeds Australia has now created The NeXt Bed DIY Cabinetry Flat Packs. The DIY Flat Pack includes the NeXt Bed mechanism plus cabinetry which can includes the doors, door handles and side fixed or adjustable shelves and full assembly instructions. NEXT BED CABINETRY FEATURES Doors easily open & fold back onto the side shelves, Shelves can be accessed even when the bed is down, Cabinet attaches to wall with 3 L brackets and 3 screws. 5 THE FRAME: SBF STEEL BED FRAME The Alpha Bed system is a lightweight, universal, structural steel bed frame with double overlap steel stiffeners. The design is complete with our fold-away leg system and is designed to exceed the strength of wood or aluminium as well as residential and commercial specifications. The Alpha Bed frames are made for use with Single, Double, Queen, or King size beds and the versatility of the design gives the user the option to mount the frame in the vertical or horizontal mode. THE MECHANISM: SBLM SPRING BALANCE LIFT MECHANISM All sizes of the Alpha Bed system include heavy duty, universal, easy-operation lift mechanisms. Designed for every day use, this mechanism allows for varying spring combinations in order to balance all bed sizes Single through King, and creates easy fingertip operation. THE DIY CABINETRY FLAT PACKS The DIY Flat Pack includes the Steel Bed Frame and Spring Lift Mechanisms, Cam Lock System for easy and quicker assembly, plus all the cabinetry you will need to create the Alpha Wall Bed.
