Dept. of Endocrinology Central Hospital of Yangpu District Shanghai China 2. Dept. of Traditional Chinese Medicine Tenth People's Hospital Tongji University Shanghai China Abstract Objective To investigate the effects of resistant starch RS on blood glucose in patients w ith type 2 diabetes. Methods Sixty patients w ith type 2 diabetes w ere randomized into RS and glucobay groups. Patients were given normal diet in the first day RS diet or glucobay were given in the second and third days. Oral hypoglycemic drugs and insulin w ere the same in the course of treatment. Dynamic blood glucose monitors w ere installed before test. The average blood glucose for three days the average blood glucose after breakfast after lunch after dinner blood glucose fluctuation coefficient time scale of high blood glucose and low blood glucose were compared. Results The average blood glucose was significantly lower in the second and third days P < in two groups. Average daily blood glucose average blood glucose of fasting after break after lunch bowang13241@ 163. com. zhouzunhai5008@ 163. com
