5 VULCAN S STRONG SOLUTIONS This is a short evaluation of some of Vulcan s Strong Solutions. For more information, see a particular product evaluation. 1. Vulcan s Strong Solutions are the high standards and new performance goals set by Vulcan in its everyday dealings. 2. Vulcan offers the best coatings in the industry: Vulcan Signature 300, a Kynar 500/Hylar 5000 finish, and Signature 200, a Siliconized Polyester finish, as a standard. 3. Vulcan Signature 300, a Kynar 500/Hylar 5000 finish, and Signature 200, a Siliconized Polyester finish, is unmatched in the industry and provides a superior finish 4. The Vulcan Lap Rib panel offers a deep corrugation of a full 1-1/4. 5. Vulcan offers the industries only 10-year manufacturer s weathertightness warranty. 6. The Vulcan Lap Rib system utilizes up to 1,500 fewer fasteners for an 80 x 100 area. 1. The Owner can be assured of the best possible building system as shown by the dependable and innovative standards set by Vulcan in the past and in the years to come. 2. The owner should be aware that Vulcan uses the best in the industry as a standard practice in their building system. 3. Vulcan Signature 300, a Kynar 500/Hylar 5000 finish, and Signature 200, a Siliconized Polyester finish, is unlike silicone polyester or diluted Kynar systems which fade, chalk, or look aged after a span of a few years in comparison. 4. The depth of the panel s corrugation is a critical factor in the system s strength against wind uplift and traffic. 5. Vulcan s top quality material and engineering makes this warranty possible, assuring the owner of the confidence Vulcan has for its product. 6. Fewer fasteners mean fewer holes through the roof, lessening the chance for a weathertightness failure. VULCAN S STRONG SOLUTIONS 5

6 VULCAN S STRONG SOLUTIONS 7. All Vulcan roof and wall accessories may be warranted by Vulcan and are designed to match the panel configuration. 8. The Vulcan roof system options include the standing seam roof (SSR). Vulcan s standing seam roof systems include Vulcan's Ultra-Dek, Vulcan Double- Lok, Battenlok, and Lokseam. 9. The standing seam roof systems are fastened to the structural by patented clips that allow roof movement with temperature changes. 10. All end-laps and splices are located on the roof structural system. 11. We have utilized a Vulcan pre-engineered metal building whose structural design incorporates the highest deflection factor, is the most rigid building, and the easiest to assemble in the industry. 12 Vulcan offers a computer designed, proven, economical alternative to traditional construction. This optimized utilization of raw materials, reduces the initial cost, and improves the value of the building. 13 Vulcan s system combines the proven practicality of rigid frame construction with unlimited size flexibility. Clear span framing systems and modular framing systems are computer designed, as well as the panels that are used. The computer utilizes a system that allows total flexibility in determining the building solution that meets your economic and appearance requirements. 7. The warranty, when provided by Vulcan, provides assurance of the weathertightness and compatibility of the roof and wall system. 8. The standing seam roofs offered by Vulcan are the best in the industry, providing the owner with a roof system with a long, durable life. 9. The clips, allowing the roof to move, provide the system the movement necessary to ensure weathertightness throughout its life. 10. Locating the splices and end-laps on the roof structural creates a stronger system capable of withstanding traffic and uplift better. 11. By purchasing the most rigid building, the owner saves during erection as it is easier to erect. This savings is passed on to the owner. 12 Computer designed and optimization of raw materials lowers the cost, and the savings is passed on to the owner. 13 The owner receives the savings and benefits of Vulcan s system of total flexibility in the building solution. The SST system combines the conventional flat-roof look and architectural treatments you may need for your new building, with the inherent advantages of systems construction. 1. The SST rigid frame system provides a span up to 80 without interior columns, allowing for unobstructed space. 2. A single sloped roof allows the owner to provide the clearance necessary for equipment without wasting steel. 3. Tapered column and rafter system provides the maximum space within the frame to accommodate the design needs of the owner. 4. The SST system offers the owner a wide range of widths for the building design. 5. This versatility in height provides many choices and sizes in design for the owner. 6. The variable slopes available offer the owner choices for the appearance desired to the nearest.001 of an inch. 7. Staggered bay spacing provides variable widths to accommodate different needs of machinery placement and access openings. 8. The low roof profile is architecturally pleasing while providing good drainage and the most reliable structure. VULCAN S STRONG SOLUTIONS 25
