Literacy Common Core Standards: RF.K.1.A - Follow words from left to right, top to bottom, and page by page. RF.K.1.D - Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet. RF.K.1.C - Understand that words are separated by spaces in print. RF.K.2.D - Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in RF.K.3.A - Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary sound or many of the most frequent sounds for each consonant. RF.K.3.B - Associate the long and short sounds with the common spellings (graphemes) for RF.K.3.C - Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does). L.K.2.C - Write a letter or letters for most consonant and short-vowel sounds (phonemes).
2 January Homework- Week 3 Page 3-4: Cover Pages for Homework - Choose from due date of Monday or Friday This page gives parents and students an overview of what they will be working on are finished, both the parent and child will write their name on this cover page. Page 6 has 2 sets of pictures that students will cut out and glue onto page 5. Cut the page in half and staple one set to the back of page 5 when making the homework packet. Choose and print your Cover Pages and then print the homework pages o Copy these pages to make a homework packet for each student in your class. Place the cover sheet on the top of each homework packet. Place the homework packet in your students homework folder or envelope. Check out August-May kindergarten homework at my TPT store: You can also grab an entire year of kindergarten homework throughout the week. They will check a box as they complete each activity. Then, they will use the graph to write and solve addition equations. (This is a cut and glue activity) What is the Sum?: Students will solve addition equations and choose which sum is correct. Winter Addition: Students will use pictures to write an addition equation and find the sum. Reading & Writing Homework: Read and Color: Students will read short sentences and color the pictures to match the sentences. Missing Letters: Students will look at pictures and write the missing letters in the CVC word. Sorting Digraphs: Students will sort pictures by the digraph sound: th, sh, ch. (This is a cut and glue activity) All of these activities are included with detailed directions on how to do each activity. Please return the completed homework on Friday.
