The Leonardo DR nano consists of two components only, a wireless X-ray detector and a tablet PC. Weighing only approx. 8 kg (complete package, bag incl. tablet PC/ notebook, accessories and 12" x 10" flat panel detektor), the system is one of the lightest portable X-ray solutions worldwide. It supports users in outpatient digital radiography. Due to its low weight and volume, the compact Leonardo DR nano system can be used almost anywhere - in veterinary practices, equine clinics or teaching hospitals. The tablet PC complies with the latest standards and is equipped with state of the art Leonardo X-ray software. The display offers a resolution of x pixels. The portable wireless X-ray detector based on amorphous silicon (a-si) with caesium iodide (CsI) scintillator, guarantees ultimate image quality, even at low radiation doses. 5 Fast The X-ray image is ready for viewing and diagnostic evaluation as early as 6 to 8 seconds (at flat panel detektor 10" x 12") after the shot has been taken. Attached to your arm or the X-ray generator, it also serves as a control element allowing the user to gain a first impression of the images taken without having to move to the actual console workstation (tablet PC). 6 Functionality Take X-rays wirelessly from now on Restricted freedom of movement and tangled cables are now a thing of the past. The Leonardo DR nano system leaves you enough room to work comfortably even in confined spaces. The X-ray unit and the detector communicate wirelessly with the acquisition software on the tablet PC. For safe operation, the distance between the X-ray detector and the tablet PC may be up to 10 m! After taking the X-ray, you can view the images instantly on the tablet PC or forward them to the animal owner or a specialist for an expert opinion (via Cloud or ). Wireless freedom! 8 We have taken a closer look at the transport bag for you: Accessories bag for chargers The lightweight backpack storing all important components is complemented by a small accessories bag. The accessories bag contains the charger for the notebook and the batteries of the X-ray detector. This is why it usually stays in the car and is not necessary for the active use of the X-ray system. The high-resolution notebook is held securely in the backpack but can be taken out to work with it. The flat panel detector is stored securely in a separate well-padded compartment. 6

10 Working comfortably with dicompacs DX-R remote control Use your smartphone as a remote control device for taking and viewing images during the X-ray procedure To allow you to work conveniently and speedily outside your practice or clinic, OR Technology has developed a remote control tool, the dicompacs DX-R remote control, for the Leonardo system. By means of our special app you can control the X-ray process and view the images on a mobile terminal like your smartphone, ipod or ipad. Attached to your arm or the X-ray generator, it also serves as a control element allowing the user to gain a first impression of the images taken without having to move to the actual console workstation (tablet PC). Due to its design, the graphic interface may also be used on units with a low resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The dicompacs DX-R remote control software works independently from the operating system and the control panel hardware. After all, the owner of the animal justifiably expects optimal service when it comes to undertaking the examination and presenting the results in a professional and comprehensible fashion. Since administrative work is bothersome yet vital for veterinarians too, we have developed a report module specifically for X-ray services relating to prepurchase examinations in cooperation with renowned specialists. This module enables the quick compilation of reports by automatically assembling X-ray images. It follows the X-ray guideline by the German organisations Gesellschaft für Pferdemedizin e.v. (non-profit organisation for equine medicine) and Bundestierärztekammer e.v. (Federal association of veterinarians). Benefits of equine prepurchase examinations: Time-saving: The dicompacs vet prepurchase examination report module allows very fast and professional preparation of reports on the prepurchase examination, including perfect layout and documentation in dicompacs vet. Easy to follow: dicompacs vet guarantees complete implementation of the wording and the structure of diagnostic reports in accordance with the Guideline for prepurchase X-ray examinations by the German Gesellschaft für Pferdemedizin e.v. and Bundestierärztekammer e.v..
