3 The MICS Series chillers are the Climaveneta solution developed specifically to meet the residential need, thanks to: Maximum efficiency even at partial loads The MICS chillers, MICSN heat pumps, and MICSDHW heat pumps with heat recovery for the production of domestic hot water are all modular units characterized by extremely high efficiency at partial loads. The availability of three partialisation steps regulated by an innovative control unit ensures previously unconceivable modulation possibilities. Together with the oversizing of the water coil and heat exchanger and the use of all the latest devices, this permits these units to achieve an E.S.E.E.R. of 5.22 at partial loads. Absolute modularity MICS means modularity. All the units, and therefore chillers, heat pumps and domestic hot water production units have been originally designed for modular use. The innovative Climaveneta approach and the exclusive MICS electronics permits the combination of units with even different power and function, such as chillers, heat pumps, and domestic hot water production devices, managed as whole unit. In addition to improving the system's quality, all this exponentially increases the number of partialisation steps available and therefore the system's capacity for modulation and energy efficiency. Innovative technological choices The advantages and elevated performance offered by MICS units were obtained as the result of the innovative technological choices that distinguish the entire conception of the unit, from the exclusive design developed to optimise unit modularity to the reduced working space required, to the presence of the electronic thermostat valve and the sequencers capable of managing up to four different units, even of different power and function, as if they were one and the same. The intelligent modulation of the power delivered More than any other product in the market today, the MICS units prove capable of managing their own starting and stopping together with the passage from one partialisation step to the next. It happens with no obligation to follow a preset sequence by adapting the power effectively delivered to the system's real momentary load conditions with extreme precision. Heat exchanger sizing The unit s energy efficiency especially at partial loads is improved by the characteristics of the cooling circuit and the sizing of certain components. 6 Technological choices The superiority and innovative potential of the MICS units are the result of a series of technological choices based on the pursuit of excellence at new frontiers that distinguish every aspect of these new products, from the components in each unit's cooling circuit to the unusually attractive design, their electronics and sequencers. Keyboard Master Control KMC is the centralised control for the modules connected together, with the primary function of supervising the operation of all the modules in synergy together. This user interface vaunts a graphic display and a navigation keypad with pulldown menus. The KMC is connected to the modules via communication bus, and can be equipped with expansion fir the control of other resources, such as zone valves, pumps, and outdoor temperature. Full Floating technology Full floating technology with automatic air flow, water flow and water temperature control acquires a new function: Flex Energy, which permits the management of the partialisation steps in either linear or alternating sequence through the installation of more than one modules.. If, for example, there are three modules (A, B, and C) each of which with 2 steps ( and 2), this function offers the choice of either a linear starting/stopping sequence (A, A2, B,.) or an alternate (A, B, C, A2, ) sequence. The first permits the management of the variations in load while keeping the delivery water temperature constant. The second places greater priority on operational efficiency. Electronic thermostatic valve The capability of quickly following the variations in heat load while optimising power consumption is one of the primary objectives posed and achieved by these new units with the use of electronic lamination valves and step motors. This solution permits extremely short times for reaction to variations in load (just a few seconds compared to the minutes requires by traditional mechanical thermostat valves). Hydraulic unit The units can also be supplied complete with a hydraulic unit composed of a variable delivery pump, an expansion tank, a filling unit, a discharge valve, and air valve. In multiple installations, the adjustment of the pumps in the single modules is obtained through their constant flow or constant temperature.
