Excelsior's therapeutic orientation relates to the belief that the best treatment is done in a holistic manner, i.e., taking into account the many aspects of each individual, and creating a plan which addresses multiple areas, not focusing on one particular problem or need, at the expense of other needs and issues. Ideally, Excelsior's substance use programs will be successful in helping each client, youth, and family to strengthen those aspects of themselves which were initially identified as areas of concern, or need, while at the same time, reinforcing through services, the qualities assessed as positive strengths and abilities. Nicotine Recovery Services Excelsior Youth Center is a tobacco-free facility. Therefore, any form of tobacco use on the facility grounds is not permitted.
