7 LONG TERM STRATEGIC GOALS FOR EPC Long Term Strategic Goals Attain all water and air quality standards for the County. Create one stop environmental permitting at EPC. Participate in Community planning for long term climate adaptation. Enhance the agency s strengths and relevance by adapting our services to fully meet our stakeholders needs. Progress Measured by Metrics Number of petroleum contaminated sites, Bay segments meeting chlorophyll A goals, air quality non-attainment areas, wetland mitigation sites in compliance, etc. Number of major environmental programs delegated to EPC. Reductions in greenhouse gas emissions for Hillsborough County government and number of climate adaptation initiatives by EPC staff. Average score on customer survey.

8 LONG TERM STRATEGIC GOALS Long Term Strategic Goals FOR EPC Build a comprehensive GIS-based database system for the environmental information. Offer comprehensive customer services through the website. Promote staff excellence through systematic training and succession planning. Progress Measured by Metrics Number of functional maps and percent of EPC employees that are GIS users. Percent of service requests online and number of hits on web site. Average number of training hours per employee, percent employee turnover, employee satisfaction rating, and number of candidates in the Advanced Leadership Development Program. Run an award winning organization. Percent of employees promoted from within, timeliness in processing applications, and number of Strategic Action Plans completed.
