2 Tutor Guidelines Worksheets These are designed to be photocopied for learners individual use to assess whether they have grasped the concepts taught. Many of them refer to specifics on the Resource Sheets and hence it may be useful to have the Resource Sheets readily available when the learners are working from the worksheets. 3 Worksheet 1 Identifying Verbs Highlight the verbs in these sentences. 7 Worksheet 5 Identifying the Subject of a Verb Read the text then highlight the verbs in one colour and the subjects in another. Before the year 1863, football clubs were popular in ngland and Wales. Teams found it difficult to play against each other because they each had their own rules. In 1863 the Football Association was formed. The Football Association decided on the rules of football so everyone played the same ones. Football clubs became very popular. The clubs went all over the country and played more matches. Usually the clubs travelled by train because the railways covered the country. Share your results with a friend. Do they agree with you?
