The work focused on: Population size estimation of mountain ungulates (Rupicapra p. pyrenaica) using the combining model capture-recapture and line transect. This project had as main researchers: Prof. Jesus Maria Perez (University of Jaen, Spain) and Prof. Russell Gerardo Alpizar-Jara (University of Evora, Portugal) Research assistant, Project: Taking individual heterogeneity in mortality risks into account in demographic studies of wild animal populations: development and use of statistical models. This project had as main researchers: Prof. Russell Gerardo Alpizar-Jara (University of Evora, Portugal) and Prof. Emmanuelle Cam (University of Paul Sabatier, France). The work focused on: logistic regression models to investigate the association of neighborhood factors, such as greenery, graffiti, and litter with obesity. Data were collected in eight European cities, by the World Health Organization in 2002 and 2003, using a survey of neighborhood, housing, and health conducted.
