6 A focus on design from start to finish - via our own powerful CAD system The flexibility we offer in stair configuration is matched only by the breadth of finishes we offer, either from our extensive range of standard components or by developing custom solutions. Your proposed stair system can be visualised - and then adapted until you're 100% happy - using our own bespoke software. Our powerful CAD software - unique to Crescent - is among the most advanced of its kind, giving us the ability not only to turn your concept into a detailed working drawing but also to generate real view visualisations and photo rendered animations of the stair in situ. And this means you can assess a range of different design aspects before committing to final specifications. Colour will be an important factor and all components can be supplied powder coated in virtually any BS or RAL colour or simply primed or galvanised. We can offer exceptional flexibility in balustrade design too, with a choice of verticals, running rails, plain or perforated sheet panels and glass infills. Treads can be supplied in steel (ribbed, rubber-covered or recessed to accept a screed or timber infill), in standard or exotic timbers (plain or recessed for a carpet infill) or even in glass, while handrails can be galvanised, powder coated, PVC covered, hardwood, polished brass or stainless steel. In other words, the design permutations are virtually endless, giving you the flexibility and freedom to create a bespoke solution at an off-the-shelf price, all built to be compliant with BS EN 5395 and building regulations as applicable.
