However, a good possibility exists that serious victimization exists in sibling abuse. Therefore, we conducted the Survey of Victimization to analyze physical sibling abuse among college students. As a result, 59.2% of the participants experienced physical abuse from siblings, and 16.8% of participants reported serious abuse victimization. We noted no difference in the mental health levels of the abused and non-abused groups. However, it was noted that the more severe the traumatic syndrome was, the higher was the frequency of abuse episodes. Going forward, further research concerning psychological and sexual abuse among siblings needs to be conducted. Keyword: Sibling abuse, physical abuse, trauma, mental health 59
