3 USDA REAP Grant Two types of projects are eligible, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency REAP Renewable Energy Grant can equal 25% of the total cost of a project, up to $500,000 REAP Energy Efficiency Grant can equal 25% of the total cost of a project, up to $250,000 Set aside fast track for grants $20,000 and less More competitive for grants >$20,000 Less competitive for grants <$20,000

4 USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grants Renewable Energy Technology Solar Water Heat, Photovoltaic, Biomass to Energy Energy Efficiency Technology LED Lighting, HVAC Upgrades, Insulation, Efficient Windows, and anything with measureable energy savings Eligibility Geography Business size Eligible Sectors Rural Small Businesses of All Trades, NOT just Agricultural Agricultural Businesses in Non-eligible Geographic Areas

5 USDA REAP Business Size USDA is not just for Agricultural Businesses Industry size standards vary greatly: Based on your North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) designation, your eligibility will be determined by Maximum Amount of Annual Receipts and/or Maximum Number of Employees Construction General building & hvy. construction contractors: $33.5 million Special trade construction contractors: $14 million Land subdivision: $7 million Manufacturing About 75 percent of the manufacturing industries: 500 employees A small number of industries: 1,500 employees

8 TVA Solar Programs 2014 TVA Green Power Providers Incentive $ Commercial GSA 1 Retail Rate for all electricity produced by the solar PV system for 10 years Commercial GSA 1 Retail Rate for all electricity produced years Years Prices subject to change in 2015 Current Program Capacity > 50 kw: Closed, Available in kw to 50 kw: Waitlist is still available < 10 kw: Program is still open USDA Grants are available for 2 years. If you don t get TVA approval this year, we can apply for TVA next year.
