2 Process Flow for Egyptian Cotton For Egyptian cotton there should be defined process flow for production and at each stage we should have system in place for proper traceability. Below is the general process flow which can be followed for production. Process Flow Fiber Selection and Sourcing from different Ginners and Responsible Sources Spinning : Yarn manufacturing Weaving Preparatory : Weaver s beam preparation for weaving Weaving : Weaving textiles / fabric Yarn dyeing : Optional for yarn dyed products to dye yarn in package form Fabric Dyeing and drying : Fabric dyeing and drying Cutting and Stitching Final checking / packing and Inspection Ware housing and Dispatch

3 Complete Traceability of Product in System as well as production floor Supplier should have robust system in place for Identification and traceability of product in system as well physically on production floor Unique and Independent Material codification System for Raw material, In Process Material and Final Product of each stage which are well connected as per the process Flow Chart of each Product Unique Batch Coding system to identify product, process along with above mentioned material codes Each atch is identified physically with JO C RD on shop floor for demonstrating Identification and Tracking system.

4 Detailed Procurement Process for Special fibers Centralized team for the procurement of Cotton Fibres. Supplier Base of responsible sourcing of different categories of Fibers such as various Indian Cotton and special fibres like Organic cotton, Egyptian and Supima cotton. Central Planning Team for Annual Cotton Consumption budgeting Procurement must be done from responsible sources annually after proper verification of due compliance Fibre sourced with required and verified documents. Central Ware housing at one place.

5 Cotton / Fiber : Selection & Usage Before the purchase of cotton, basic test for fibres must be performed in internal lab / third party lab to ascertain the quality of cotton. These tests needs to be done on several different lots and supplier should keep these records for future ref. After completion of testing then only lots should be issued in production for further processes and each and every lot should be coded with a unique number for future traceability

Processing - In Processing we process the greige fabric through different routes like washing / dyeing / shearing etc. depending upon the requirement of the product.

16 Cutting / Packing and Warehousing After processing when Egyptian cotton material issued on cutting and packaging floor there should be a separate line for Egyptian cotton material to avoid mixing. For packaging material there should be separate space in godown so that packaging material marked with Egyptian cotton not get mixed with other material. In product material there should be an code to identify Egyptian cotton so that the product should run in separate line to avoid mixing at all stages. After Cutting and Packing when product go for warehousing there also we should have an separate area where we store only Egyptian Cotton products.
