What should I do if I m hungry? THE PROGRAMME 1. What does TR90 stand for? TR90 stands for Transform in 90 days. When you make these new TR90 eating and exercise habits a regular part of your routine after these 90 days, you will keep seeing results. Within this programme, we do not focus on superficial approaches. The TR90 Programme targets both internal and external sources to help you achieve your goals. So this really is a 90-day programme, which will transform and change your life. 2. What is the recommended adult usage for TR90 supplements? TR90 JS: TR90 Complex C: TR90 Complex F: TR90 M-Bar: TR90 M-Shake: Once per day mixed with a glass of water or favourite calorie-free beverage for the first 15 days of the programme. 3 capsules daily for the full duration of the programme. 4 capsules daily for the full duration of the programme. One protein bar once daily and a large glass of water for the full duration of the programme. One sachet mixed with 250ml semi-skimmed milk once daily for the full duration of the programme. 3. What products are complementary to the TR90 Programme? There are several products in the Nu Skin and Pharmanex range that can be used with the TR90 Programme: LifePak Family: a great source of vitamins, minerals and botanicals. Marine Omega: rich in fatty acids which are interesting for general body functions. Vitality: Helps you to feel engaged in an active lifestyle. g3 contributes to cell protection from free radical damage, and to normal energy-yielding metabolism based on the presence of vitamin C. ageloc skin care products ageloc Body Products work together to create the ultimate body enhancement experience and help your body to look its best (ageloc Galvanic Body Spa, ageloc Body Shaping Gel and ageloc Dermatic Effects). 2
4. When can you expect results? Remember, true transformation takes time. A one-size-fits-all programme does not exist, because transformation depends on different factors such as the kind of workouts you do and what your lifestyle is like. Most people will actually start feeling results within the first month or two when they make exercising and eating healthy, combined with the TR90 food supplements and the M-Bars or M-Shakes a regular part of their routine. 5. Why is it important to combine the TR90 products with the eating plan and activity guidelines? The TR90 Programme was carefully formulated to unify your body and your mind. If individuals only use part of the programme, they are missing out on critical benefits that support their long-term success, and as a result, they are not as likely to reach their well-being goals. All five products (TR90 JS, TR90 Complex F, TR90 Complex C and TR90 M-Bars and M-Shakes) are developed to provide full support. The TR90 eating plan and activity guidelines are also extremely important in achieving long-term success. Together, these crucial components will provide far greater support than can be achieved by only a portion of the programme. 6. After the 90-day period of the TR90 Programme, what should I do to maintain my transformation? After you finish your final 90-day cycle and have reached your target goals, you enter the phase at which time you no longer use the TR90 supplements (TR90 Complex F, TR90 Complex C and TR90 JS). However, the TR90 Programme is created to help you develop healthy and lifelong habits. The exercises and new eating habits you acquired should ensure you to hold on to your well-being in the future. 7. How many times can you use this TR90 Programme? The TR90 Programme is designed to be used in 90-day increments as an initiator. After finishing the initial 90- day programme, users can evaluate their progress; if they have not fully reached their goals they can implement a second 90-day phase, repeating the full programme. Depending on each individual s goals, the TR90 Programme is designed with several components and is formulated for safe use even when used for more than one 90-day period. 8. What is the key advantage of the TR90 Programme? The amount of energy we need is determined by our metabolic rate, measured in calories per day. The biggest contributor to metabolic rate is resting energy expenditure, also known as Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Your BMR is the amount of calories you would need if you laid in bed all day and didn't move. In other words, it's the amount of energy your body needs just to keep you alive and perform basic functions like breathing, keeping your heart beating and maintaining your body's tissues. Muscle mass is an important factor to consider in determining your BMR. Muscle is more active and energy-demanding than fat, so if you have a higher percentage of muscle compared to fat, you will have a higher BMR. The higher a person's basal metabolism, the more calories that individual burns off. In the TR90 Programme, we want to preserve lean muscle tissue (and if possible, even gain additional lean muscle tissue and increase metabolism). 3
9. How will the programme help me to keep a positive mind-set and stay motivated? The programme has been established in order to give you all the chances to reach your personal objective and keep all the motivation you need during the programme. The programme is made up of food supplements, bars or shakes, a Programme Guide, a Quick-View guide and a Transformation Journal. If you follow the recommended instructions and usage, you will have all the right tools for yourself. On one hand, the supplements will give you the right push and help strengthen your willpower while you are on this journey. On the other hand, the Guide will provide you with many useful tips and tricks to keep you motivated along the way. 10. Why did we choose for a higher protein eating plan? The TR90 Programme is based on a high protein intake. Proteins provide your body with the necessary material to produce further proteins, hormones, enzymes, muscle fibres, etc. Our body is not capable of storing a lot of this nutrient, so dietary intake is vital. Proteins are the building blocks of the muscle. If your body does not have enough protein, it cannot maintain the muscles it already has and also build new muscle tissue. TR90 is a programme based on high protein intake which will: - Contribute to a growth in muscle mass - Contribute to the maintenance of muscle mass 11. Can I give this product to my child who is under 18? We do not recommend that you give this product to a child under 18. This programme was developed explicitly for adults. 12. What part of the programme works on metabolism? Our metabolism goes down by about 2-3% a year from the age of 20 (**). One of the main dimensions of the programme is the increase of your metabolism rate. By increasing your metabolism, you will enable your body to better process the food that you eat. On the other hand, the unique eating plan will bring you the right ingredients for a well working metabolism. By increasing the intake of proteins with the eating plan and the TR90 M-Bars or M-Shakes, you will help to maintain and grow your muscle mass. If you increase your muscle mass, your metabolism will also increase because the need in energy will be higher. 13. Is there a warning on each of the products for traces of nuts, soy, milk, etc. in case someone is allergic? All the allergen information will be found on the label of each product in the TR90 Programme. 14. Is it a gluten free product? TR90 supplements (the capsules and the JS) are not certified gluten free but they are formulated with nongluten containing ingredients. This statement does not apply to the bars that do contain wheat and barley based ingredients (Chocolate Bar) and barley malt extracts (Lemon Crisp Bar), which contains gluten. As an alternative, Nu Skin offers the TR90 M-Shakes which are gluten free. ** Université de Sherbrooke Réussir en santé Métabolisme de base. 4
15. Is it suitable for vegetarians/vegans? The TR90 JS does not contain any animal-derived ingredients. The Complex C and Complex F are provided in capsules composed of animal-derived gelatine; if individuals object to ingesting animal-derived gelatine, they are welcome to open the capsules and mix the powder with water or a liquid of their choice as an alternative method of taking the product. The powder itself does not contain any animal-derived ingredients. The TR90 M-Bars and M-Shakes contain milk. Depending on an individual s dietary choices, some vegetarians may find this to be acceptable, while others following a vegan diet may not. 16. Are there any known side effects? Only ingredients with documented safety benefits were selected for inclusion in the TR90 Programme. There are no known side effects in otherwise overweight individuals when taken as directed. 17. Is the TR90 Programme halal/kosher? Our comprehensive TR90 Programme is neither halal nor kosher. TR90 FOOD SUPPLEMENTS, BARS AND SHAKES 18. Why do I have to take TR90 JS? The ingredients in TR90 JS were chosen to help you kick-start your journey. After the initial boost from JS, the ingredients in TR90 Complex F and Complex C will help you on your way and get you ready to feel the transformation and JS is no longer necessary. The remaining products, in combination with the eating and exercise plan, will provide sufficient support for users to continue to obtain their personal goal. 19. Why do the TR90 M-Bars and M-Shakes contain lactose? Milk proteins are good quality proteins, providing a wide amino acid profile as well as optimal digestibility. Moreover, milk proteins are often chosen for formulation because of the pleasing flavour they impart to the final product. Milk proteins do contain lactose; while we recognise the inclusion of milk ingredients in M-Bars is not ideal for those with sensitivity to lactose; it is instructive to know that lactose intolerance is not a common issue in Europe (particularly when compared to Asia, where adults lose the ability to synthesise lactase enzyme). The TR90 M-Shakes are prepared with 250 ml of semi-skimmed milk. This, for the same reason, namely to give you the required amount of vitamins, minerals and proteins. *** *** 5
20. Is it possible to buy the bars or shakes separately? There is no possibility to choose the M-Bar or M-Shake taste within the TR90 Programme package. However, the TR90 package now only includes 20 M-Bars and 10 M-Shakes to cover the first month, and it will include 2 vouchers with a 15% discount on your month 2 and 3 M-Bars or M-Shakes purchase, which will enable you to select your favourite choice. 21. With which product should I mix the TR90 M-Shakes with? TR90 M-Shakes should be mixed with 250 ml of semi-skimmed milk to give you the best amount of proteins, minerals and vitamins. TR90 PROGRAMME GUIDE 22. What are the components of the TR90 Programme Guide? The TR90 Programme Guide has been developed to improve your well-being. TR90 stands apart from other programmes in that it empowers and helps you to reach your goals. An important part of the TR90 Programme is its innovative yet easy and flexible to follow eating plan and the recommended exercises. The TR90 eating plan will help you develop healthy eating habits that will enable you to realise your TR90 goals. 23. Which other components can we find in the TR90 Programme? The TR90 Transformation Journal includes motivational tips, which help you to track your transformation. In this journal, you can also write down what you ate, which exercises you did and your personal Transformation Number. Tracking will allow you to identify patterns, pitfalls and triumphs. This way, you know what works for you and what does not. The TR90 Quick-View Guide is a small and handy on-the-go guide that gives you an overview of the most important basics of the TR90 Programme. It also includes ingredient examples to help you make the right food choices on this journey. 24. How do the hand-size portions recommendations work in the TR90 eating plan? The TR90 eating plan utilises hand sizes as a guide to food portion sizes. This system takes advantage of the fact that portion sizes for each individual should be proportional to their body size; a larger individual has a larger hand and should consume more calories to maintain lean muscle tissue and avoid hunger. Portions of protein from meat sources should be about the size and thickness of the palm of the hand (not including fingers). Portions of protein from non-meat sources should be approximately the size and thickness of the fist. Portions of grains (including whole grain breads and crackers, quinoa, and rice) should be approximately the amount that can fit into a cupped hand. Please note that this amount refers to fully prepared grains. When measuring out a portion of brown rice, for example, one portion would be the amount of cooked brown rice that fits into a cupped hand not the amount of dry rice that fits in the hand. Portions of fruits and vegetables should be the amount that can be held on an open palm (including fingers). 6
25. How many calories per day should I be consuming? TR90 hand portion sizes are determined by hand size, not by total daily caloric intake. The total number of calories necessary is different from person to person. A large framed individual needs more calories than a small framed individual; the hand portion sizes in both circumstances will help to guide the appropriate amount of food. To avoid the complexity of determining the specific number of calories for each person, and to avoid the need for calorie-counting, Nu Skin scientists have developed the hand portions sizes outlined in the TR90 Programme Guide. 26. If I don t exercise, will I still reach my goal? TR90 has been developed in order to help you to improve your well-being. If you want to fully feel the benefits of the product, we advise that you eat and live healthy. Exercising is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Exercising does not mean that you need to drastically change all your habits. You need to take it slowly and gradually make changes to your lifestyle. 27. What should I do if I m hungry? If you feel hungry, you can eat a small snack like vegetables, yoghurt or fruit. If you are close to a main meal, try to avoid eating a snack or eat a very small portion in order to be able to eat at the right time for the main meal. In order to avoid having cravings between meals, pay attention to your meal time. It is important to eat at fixed times and you should not skip meals. If needed, you can still eat five times during the day instead of three in order to avoid cravings between main meals. In-between meals should be light like a fruit, raw vegetables or yoghurt. 7 FAQTR90_WEB_EN_ZA_1609_INT 2016 NSE Products, Inc.
