2 Level 2 award in food safety in catering course The list of forthcoming courses to be run at Merton, are listed below along with the course programme. The one-day course consists of 6 hours training, followed by a short multiplechoice test, usually lasting for approximately 30 minutes. Successful candidates will receive a Certificate for the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. The course is aimed at persons in the food industry who regularly handle food. The cost is 65 per person. Tea and coffee is included, but lunch is not included in the price. Places are reserved on a, first come, first served basis and payment can be made by telephone, on , using debit/credit card* (credit cards carry a 1.35% surcharge) or by post, using the attached application form and sent in with the fee to the above mentioned address. It is an examination requirement that you bring proof of identity (including a photograph) e.g. passport, driving licence. Without proof of identity you will not be able to take the examination. For economic reasons the Council reserves the right to cancel any course that is under subscribed. In this case the fees will be returned or a place reserved on a later course. Once a place has been confirmed money cannot be refunded to persons unable to attend the course, although alternative candidates may be sent instead of the person named on the application form.
