12 HHFKA Business/Administrative Changes in Place Paid Lunch Equity Ensures that paid lunches comprise an equitable portion of meal costs 6 Cent Certification and Verification Requires submission of 1 week s worth of menus in 6 cent certification excel tool and possible on-site verification of menus

14 Other HHFKA Changes In Place Farm to School Fall 2012, USDA awarded $4.5 million in grants to 68 projects in 37 states Child and Adult Care Food Program At-Risk Supper Program Previous snack program expanded to include supper option at higher rate of reimbursement Athletics and the Afterschool Snack Program School Nutrition Programs Snack Program expanded to include athletic programs if they fall under umbrella of comprehensive afterschool programming
