This document is intended as a guide only. For detailed, project specific installation or technical advice users should always refer to SPIT for guidance. A natural progression from hand made bricks to engineered blocks; it is widely used and has been proven on millions of projects for over 30 years in Europe in both domestic and commercial applications, and is ideal for use on projects from single storey to multiple-storeys. Porotherm is a highly efficient alternative to other building materials such as timber, concrete or light steel frames and is suitable for a variety of construction applications. For chemical anchors, a safety factor of 4:1 is applied. As nylon anchors are subject to higher levels of creep, a higher safety factor of 7:1 is applied. All of our testing is completed in accordance with the Construction Fixing Association guidelines. All test results are then provided in the form of a written test report. Spit can provide RIBA approved CPD seminars i-expert Anchor Calculation Software The ITW Construction Products Technical Team have recently launched their new improved Spit i-expert calculation software. i-expert is the quickest and easiest way to get a completely accurate specification for any Spit anchor. The new i-expert software boasts improved functionality, allowing for even more accurate anchor selections and specifications. The new software performs calculations according to CC Methodology and is also supplied with the SPITCAD library, which allows Spit anchors to be inserted into designs using AutoCAD programs.
