1 spec CORRA/CLAD MC CABLE P.O. Box 3, Union, NJ O7O3-O3, 9O-7-7O, OO , Fax: 9O-7-O CORRA/CLAD Flexi-Rib Aluminum Sheath Separator Tape Fillers Type TFN, TFFN or THHN Insulation Copper Conductor EASY TO INSTALL Versatile and Safe - Corra/Clad is the most unique MC cable product on the market. It s exclusive Flexi-Rib design is unlike any other MC product. Unlike other metal clad cable that is wrapped by an interlocked galvanized or aluminum metal strip, Corra/Clad encases the wires in a solid aluminum Flexi-Rib sheath for 30 of impervious, water tight protection that will perform to any wiring challenge. CORA/CLAD IS TOUGH Yet Easy to Work With - Corra/Clad conforms to shape easier than common interlocked cable. Unlike armored cable that springs out of position, once Corra/Clad is formed to fit it stays put. Bending radius is seven times the external diameter of the metal sheath. No more wasted footage with larger diameter bends or cable sag. SAVE TIME No Special Tools or Anti-Short Bushings Required - Corra/Clad can be cut to length and stripped in a matter of seconds with ordinary wire cutters. After the aluminum sheath is scored and separated, there is no jagged edge requiring the use of those annoying anti-short bushings. SUPERIOR GROUNDING- The continuous sheath which may be used as the ground per article 0-9(b)() of the National Electric Code has an equivalent ground size of several gauge sizes larger than would be found in a standard interlocked MC Cable. This feature will also save installation time. CORRA/CLAD CABLE is MC CABLE - BUT BETTER UL LISTED MC CABLE - Corra/Clad is constructed in accordance with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., standard for Metal-Clad Cable (UL 9). Corra/Clad meets or exceeds interlocked MC cable. Corra/Clad can be used everywhere interlocked MC cable can be used plus additional places MC cable can t be used. HEALTH CARE FACILITIES - Because Corra/Clad s outer jacket is an approved grounding means of a listed cable assembly and employs a continuous, gas/vapor tight metal sheath, Corra/Clad is permitted for use in ALL hospitals and health care facilities, including all patient care areas per article 7-3(a) and (b). A properly sized ground must also be a part of the listed assembly. When Corra/Clad is ordered with a separate ground the green ground wire is marked ISOLATED GROUND COND. For Health Care Facility wiring Corra/Clad has quickly become the preferred method of wiring for these facilities. (Consult local authorities for special inclusions or restrictions.) FIRE RESISTANT - Due to its solid fill construction, smoke can not chimney through the continuous sheath. This lack of oxygen makes Corra/Clad and Metal Clad squared fire resistant. Corra/Clad may be used in a plenum area per article 300-(b). HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS - Corra/Clad can be used in Class Division hazardous locations with approved terminations per article 0-4(b). METAL CLAD SQUARED - A new generation in MC Cable because of its unique flat construction, Metal Clad Squared looks and performs like nothing you have ever seen before. It is the most compact, lightweight MC Cable available. Metal Clad Squared features all of the benefits of standard Corra/Clad but is more compact. It is similar in size to / NM cable but is encased in a continuous aluminum sheath like Corra/Clad). FIRE/CLAD MC CABLE - Our Fire/Clad MC Cable is Corra/Clad cable with a red ink coloring on the aluminum sheath to designate the cable as part of a fire alarm system. Fire/Clad and Corra/Clad is dual rated as MC Cable and as FPL Cable. NOTE: to order Fire/Clad MC Cable use the part number for Corra/Clad but state that a red colored jacket or Fire/Clad is desired. This is designated by using a -44 after the Corra/Clad part number. SPECIAL ARMORING CAPABILITIES - Don t see the cable you need? We can engineer an armored cable for your specific needs.

Corra/Clad can be easily installed using the same type fasteners that are used with EMT or armored cable. Corra/Clad can be terminated in outlet or junction boxes of various sizes using any UL Listed type MC fittings. SCORE Using a knife or cable cutters, score the aluminum sheath all the way around at the desired length. SEPARATE Grip the cable with both hands on either side of the score, flex and separate. 3 STRIP Strip sheath from cable by pulling firmly. 4 CUT Cut away the protective tape and fillers. SPOT Spot the connector at the proper location in the enclosure and tighten securely with a lock nut. SECURE Insert the cable end into the connector, making sure it s firmly seated. Secure the cable in place by tightening the connector with a screw driver while pressing in on the cable.
3 CONSTRUCTION: Type MC Cable Conductors are soft drawn annealed copper (solid or stranded). Insulation on and AWG is UL Type TFN or TFFN: on 4 AWG and larger, it is UL Type THHN/THWN. Conductors are cabled with fillers and with an overall seamless, corrugated continuous aluminum sheath. Type MC Cable can be furnished with a PVC jacket over the sheath for use in corrosive environments or direct burial. 00V TFN, TFFN or THHN/THWN Conductors - UL Listed FIRE/CLAD All of the Cora/Clad Listed on this page is available as Fire/Clad with a red ink coloring on the jacket. Just specify Fire/Clad when you order and add a -44 to the part number. Please contact factory for availablity and minimum order requirements.
