The design development dwells on the idea of a compartmented and differentiated space that allows active use and seclusion at the same time. A building block, assembled with the individual MODY unites, can be oriented according to location demands, with guided views for users and neighbors. Mody is a Turn-Key design, both interior and exterior are simultaneously built in the factory and delivered, in completed form, on the site. The current version is customized for a design-in-mind hotel with EUR production costs per unit.

5 m o d y catalogue - version 1.3 materials and techniques vacuum forming sandwich composites affordable design products integration of appliances The use of light- and sustainable, long-lasting materials and embedded products (with 10 year warranty), combined with state-of-the-art building production techniques, that are already common practice in the naval and automotive industries, allow for a seamless integration of the interior and the self-supportive exterior structure. Repetition and limited differentiation make these principles economically sustainable, whilst enhancing the experience of staying and living.

The sleeping loggia is suitably fitted with a two-person bed, additional storage, and a full frame window with louvers.

The size of the loggia, and several bed configurations make the rooms vary in size and ambient color. MODY is well suited for traditional hotel rooms for short stays, and aparthotel suites for longer stays.

The clear height of the space is 2.60m and the floor area space is 21 m2.

Luxurious suites, family rooms or aparthotel rooms are all within easily configurable. The combinations are made possible using a simple joint of two basic modules, which can, at any point in time, be converted into two separate units. All built in appliances are identical to the basic module, with optional additional furniture.

Building complex with the height of only three levels results in a low-weight intervention, which requires no additional foundation (Stelcon-plates solution).

The intrinsic capacity of the modules to be oriented towards the sun and the view increase the number of possible on-site product placements.

Where new floors exceed existing buildings, the modules are oriented according to the local context.
