Those who know Ruth Rocha books are familiar with her showing tenderness in her stories and in the way she tells them, always looking like she is right there beside you, speaking directly with you. Who does not know, now got the chance to do it. Only because all the stories of Sambalelê Collection were created by her. With fascinating characters that sometimes are just like people we meet here and there, they are so much fun that you will not close the book until the story is over. Are you ready? 3 There was a bunny named Tubby. He was white, fluffy and chubby. Every day Tubby would go to school with his brothers. He learned to jump, he learned to run He learned that eating cabbage could be fun.

The bunnies grew old and they must face the question, each one should choose a profession. Tubby s brothers have already decided: - I m gonna be an Easter bunny, as my father. - I m gonna be an Easter bunny, as my grandfather. - I m gonna be an Easter bunny, as my great-grandfather.

And everybody wanted to be an Easter bunny, as all the grandfathers.

Vivinho Only did Tubby not say remained a word. silent. His parents The brothers asked, couldn t guessed His siblings and the asked parents about: asked: -And - you, How VivInho? about you, What Tubby? about? -Well- Well said him said Tubby I do not know what to be. I don t know what I m gonna be. But I am sure what not to be: everything but Easter But one thing I know: bunny. I don t wanna be an Easter bunny. While his father was all doubt, his mother passed out: - OOOOHHHH!!!!

Tubby found some new friends: the hummingbird Bloomy, Lorelai, the butterfly, and the bee Candy. How come a bunny and a bee together can play? - Tubby s brothers would say. Tubby s parents thought they were going crazy. - What if their little boy was lazy? But they must be clear, Tubby should find a career.

Don t you worry said Tubby I m learning an excellent profession. - Learning what? To fly? Tubby s parents would say. - No, learning to buzz Tubby s brothers would tease. But he smiled and left, bouncing to meet his friends.

Time has passed. Easter was on the way. Papa and Mama Rabbit went to buy chocolate eggs to deliver. But the factories had so many orders. They didn t have more eggs to sell. All over the place they got the same answer: - All sold out. We have nothing left

Papa and Mama Rabbit went to all the factories in the forest. They went to: Mr. Morgan s, Mr. Newman s, Mr. Duncan s, Mr. McDowell s, Mr. McDuffy s, Mr. McNeel s, Mr. Clarkson s, Mr. Jackson s, Mr. Robinson s. But the answer was always the same: - All sold out, Mr. Rabbit, all sold out

They went back to the house hopeless. - Oh my, this never happened before - We cannot let the kids down - But we have been to all the factories. There is no way out

Tubby s brothers were sad: - Our first distribution This problem has no solution Tubby was arriving with Candy. - Why don t we make the chocolate eggs? - If only we knew. An Easter bunny knows how to deliver eggs. Not how to make them.

- Well, I do know said Tubby I do. - Do you think that he knows? asked Papa Rabbit. - Well, he said he knows Tubby s brothers answered. - I m sure he knows stated Mama Rabbit. - And who taught you that? Everybody asked.

- My friends did. Didn t I tell you that I was learning a profession? So I learned to collect pollen from flowers with Lorelai and Bloomy. And Candy is the best pastry chef in the world. She taught me all the candy recipes.

The Rabbit family s house became a real factory. Everybody helped: Papa Rabbit, Mama Rabbit, the bunnies And also the friends: Bloomy, the hummingbird, Lorelai, the butterfly, and Candy, the best pastry chef in the world And Tubby was the one in charge of managing all the work.

And when Easter came everything was ready. The baskets were full of chocolate eggs. And Tubby s parents were very happy.

Mama Rabbit said: - Now, our son has a profession.

And Papa Rabbit said: - Everyone should pursue their vocation
