5 Chapter 1: System requirements for Rocket Discover Before you begin installation, ensure that your system is configured. Server Requirements Rocket Discover supports the following Windows versions: Windows 7 64 bit Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 Windows Server 2012 with.net Framework 3.5 enabled Ensure that your production environment has the following minimum configurations: 4 core microprocessor 8 GB RAM 250 GB free disk space Browser Requirements You can access Rocket Discover through the following browsers: Latest version of Chrome Latest version of Firefox Safari version 7 and above IE 11 and above 5

6 Chapter 2: Installing Rocket Discover You can install Rocket Discover on Windows operating system by performing the steps explained in the topic. 1. Download the setup_win64.exe installer by clicking the hyperlink in the registration Right-click and run the installer as an administrator. 3. Click Next to proceed with the installation. 6

Note: If you do not have Windows MongoDB installed on your system, click the link that is displayed in the Rocket Discover installer window to download the Windows MongoDB installer setup file. After MongoDB installation is complete, continue with Rocket Discover installation. 8

9 Installing Rocket Discover 6. Click the link in the dialog box to download Teradata and then click Next. Alternatively, you can install Teradata after installing Rocket Discover. If TeraData is already installed on your system, the dialog box is not displayed. 9

13 Chapter 3: Upgrading to Rocket Discover 1.5 version You can upgrade Rocket Discover from previous versions to 1.5 version on the Windows operating system. To perform the upgrade: 1. Download the setup_win64.exe from the link in your 30-day trial registration Right click on the setup_win64.exe file and run it as an administrator. 3. Follow Step 3 to Step 9 in the topic, Installing Rocket Discover, on page 6. 13

14 Chapter 4: Registering Rocket Discover online To register Rocket Discover online, ensure that the server that hosts Rocket Discover is connected to the internet. 1. Point your browser to the URL server>. 2. Apply the license key corresponding to your company. Note: If the registration page is not displayed, navigate to Control Panel Administrative Tools Services. Right click the Rocket Discover Web Service and select Start. Refresh the browser to view the registration page. 3. Click Send. 14

16 Chapter 4: Registering Rocket Discover online 6. On the log-in screen, enter your user ID and password, and then click Sign In. The Rocket Discover home page is displayed. 16

17 Chapter 5: Registering Rocket Discover offline If the server that hosts Rocket Discover installation, is not connected to the internet; you can resgister Rocket Discover. To register Rocket Discover offline: 1. Point your browser to the URL server>. 2. Click the Generate Server UUID button to generate the UUID. Note: If the registration page is not displayed, navigate to Control Panel Administrative Tools Services. Right click the Rocket Discover Web Service and select Start. Refresh the browser to view the registration page. 3. the server UUID that is displayed below and the license key received earlier to the Rocket Software customer support team at You will receive an offline license key. Ensure that you add the license in the following format: ===BEGIN LICENSE=== license key===end LICENSE=== 17
