3 The Diploma of the Danish Export Association and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik s Medal of Honour Royal export recognition The National Association for Danish Enterprise, Dansk Arbejde, founded the Diploma of the Danish Export Association and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik s Medal of Honour in 1982 in close co-operation with the Royal Danish Court and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Diploma and medal are awarded in recognition of an outstanding effort in promoting Danish products and services abroad. A jury chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Henrik decides who is honoured with the award, which is given approximately fifteen times a year. His Royal Highness Prince Henrik, another member of the Royal Family or a worthy representative of the Royal Danish Court presents the winner with the diploma and medal in the recipient s country. The Danish Export Association administers the award in close co-operation with the Danish Trade Council and the embassy in the recipient s country. Nominate your business partner The award is given to agents, distributors, subsidiaries or companies based abroad. Any exporter of Danish products or services, the Danish Foreign Services, and the Danish Export Association may nominate candidates. To be considered for the award, the recipients have to be able to demonstrate outstanding profits for the past five years. Furthermore, the recipients must support and visualize Danish values, for example by helping other Danish companies penetrate a foreign market and in general promote Danish products and services abroad.
