6 Getting Started with SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java on SAP Cloud Appliance Library 1. Overview This guide provides information you need to use SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java on SAP Cloud Appliance Library in your local environment. For more information about SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java, see the official product documentation on the Help Portal. 2. Solution Information This solution contains a standard installation of SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java. You can download the media from SAP Service Marketplace. 3. System Setup and Preparation 3.1 Required Product Versions and Software Components Content [Main Component]: SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java [Stack-No. of Main Component]: Service Pack 02 [Localized Country]: USA [Language]: EN 4. Using the SAP Cloud Appliance Library When you purchase a SAP Cloud Appliance Library package from the SAP Store, you will receive an with the link to the SAP Cloud Appliance Library: The next steps how to configure your solution in SAP Cloud Appliance Library are: 1. Create an account in SAP Cloud Appliance Library. As the user who has created the account, you become an account owner and can assign other users to your account. 2. Browse for your solution in the Solutions tab page and activate it for the SAP Cloud Appliance Library account. 3. Select the activated solution and create a solution instance from it. For more information about these three steps, see the official documentation of SAP Cloud Appliance Library (choose Related Links & Help Documentation and choose (expand all) button to see all documents in the structure). You can also use the context help in SAP Cloud Appliance Library by choosing the Help panel from the right side. 5. Connecting to Your Solution 1. In SAP Cloud Appliance Library, choose Instances to display the list of available instances. 2. Choose the name of the running SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java instance. The system opens the Instance dialog box with the properties of the solution instance. The IP Addresses area displays the access details of the solution instance. 3. Copy the IP address of the running SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java instance. 4. In your Web browser, enter the following link: July
7 Getting Started with SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java on SAP Cloud Appliance Library Parameter ID IP address of the instance Parameter Value x.x.x.x Note It is retrieved from SAP Cloud Appliance Library when viewing the details of the solution instance. Port of the instance The default port value for accessing the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Java. This port should be opened during the configuration of the solution instance. Username Administrator This is the default user which you can use to access the SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java. Password The master password is used for accessing the SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java. It is provided by the user during the creation of the solution instance in SAP Cloud Appliance Library. To see what other users are available in the system navigate to: The administrator password is set when creating a solution instance from SAP Cloud Appliance Library. 6. Additional Information for Your Solution 6.1 Update Your Solution License The validity period of the installed temporary license is 90 days (3 months) from the moment the solution instance is created by SAP Cloud Appliance Library. 6.2 Check SAP NetWeaver Version 1. In your Web browser, enter the following link: 2. Navigate to the Components Info tab page and check if all the components consist of: xxxx xxxxxxxxx To enable the SAP NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) you have to use the SAP Note OS Access to Your Solution Instance If you need an OS access, you have to use SSH connectivity. Use the default user root and the private key for the SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java instance, which is downloaded when your SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java instance is created in SAP Cloud Appliance Library. Parameter ID OS User Name Parameter Value root Note The default OS administrator user for Linux SUSE. July
8 Getting Started with SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java on SAP Cloud Appliance Library OS Password <none> Use the private key (downloaded during the activation of the SAP NetWeaver usage type BI Java instance in SAP Cloud Appliance Library) for logging on with the root user. 6.4 Other Parameters These are parameters which are set during the activation of the solution instance from SAP Cloud Appliance Library. Parameter ID Parameter Value Note SID BIJ Default System ID for the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Java set during the startup of the solution instance. Instance Number 00 The default value of the instance number for the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Java appliance. Usually this parameter is needed to generate port numbers for some of the services (for example, Instance Agent). 6.5 Access Ports Port Protocol Port Number Note SSH 22 This is the default value for the solution instance which is used to connect via PuTTy, WinSCP or other SSH clients. HTTP This is the default port value for the solution instance which is used to connect to the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Java 7.4 via a Web browser. July
