Winner of a match is the team that has won one map Best-of-three match A best-of-three match is played in two or three maps and opposes two teams of five players. The winner of a match is the team that has won two maps. When a team won the two first maps the match is ended and the third map isn't played Tie-breaker match A tie-breaker match is played as a best-of-one match Time Rating match The Time Rating is the time that needed a team to win a match. When more than two teams are tied in a round-robin stage the Time Rating is used to determine the round-robin s order. Example for a round-robin stage: When three teams finish equal on points in a round-robin stage, the teams Time Rating will be used as tie-breaker. 6
Assuming team A won its first game in 60 mins and second game in 60 mins the team s Time Rating will be 120 Assuming team B won its first game in 50 mins and second game in 60 mins the team s Time Rating will be 110. Assuming team C won its first game in 60 mins and second game in 40 mins the team s Time Rating will be 100. At the end, team C finishes first with 100 of Time Rating, team B finished second with 110 and team A finishes third with Side selection The team side will be chosen randomly by tournament referee with a coin toss. For a best-of-one match the winner of the coin toss will get the blue side. For a best-of-three match the winner of the coin toss will get the blue side for map 1, and the other team the blue side for map 2. In case of a third map, a new coin toss will be made by tournament referee to determine which team will have the blue side Draft Mode The Draft mode proceeds in a snake draft format as follows: Blue Team = A / Red Team = B Bans: ABABAB Picks: ABBAABBAAB 4.3 Before match Match start time The match start time indicates the time when the match begins. Therefore team is advised to be present at least 60 minutes before its match start time to setup its gaming gear and warm-up. Teams are invited to be up to date with the tournament schedule Setup and warm-up Team must play on the station designated by the Organizer. Teams are responsible of the good installation and functioning of their gaming gear. This includes providing and installing the adequate drivers when necessary, and providing the adequate type of cables or adapters when necessary. Tournament referee may possibly help the team with technical issues but may not delay the tournament schedule for such reasons Controlled Game Start If an error in match start or a decision by tournament referee to separate the pick/ban process from game start, a tournament referee may start the game in a controlled manner using Blind Pick. Players will select their Champions according to the previous valid completed pick/ban process Slow Client Load If a Bugsplat, disconnect, or any other failure occurs which interrupts the loading process and prevents a player from joining a game upon game start, the game must be immediately paused until all ten players are connected to the game. 7
4.4 During a match Between match Players may not leave their PC between each game unless authorization given by a tournament referee. A teams may forfeit a game, or be forced to start a game shorthanded, if a player leaves its PC without their tournament referee permission, or is otherwise unable to play In-game pause It is forbidden for a player or coach to pause a game. If a player pauses or unpauses a game without permission from a tournament referee, it will be considered unfair play and sanction will be applied at the sole discretion of tournament referee. Tournament referee may order the pause of a match or execute a pause command on any player PC at the sole discretion of the tournament referee, at any time Match interruption If a match is involuntary interrupted (player crash, server crash, network outage ) the tournament referee may decide to not replay the match from its start according to the following rules: Any attack or ability is landed on minions, jungle creeps, structures, or enemy Champions. Line-of-sight is established between players on opposing teams. Setting foot, establishing vision or targeting skillshot ability in opponent s jungle by either team, which includes either leaving the river or entering brush connected to enemy jungle. Game timer reaches two minutes Match restart The decision to restart a match is solely at the discretion of tournament referee. 4.5 After match Awarded match victory If a technical issue which leads tournament referee to declare a restart, the tournament referee may instead award a game victory to a team. If a game has been played more than 20 minutes on the game clock, the tournament referee, at their sole discretion, may determine that a team cannot avoid defeat to a degree of reasonable certainty. The following criteria may be used in the determination of reasonable certainty: Gold differential: The difference in gold between the teams is more than 33%. Remaining Turret Differential: The difference in the number of remaining turrets between the teams is more than seven. Remaining Inhibitor Differential: The difference in the number of standing inhibitors between the teams is more than two Investigation request When a team estimates being a victim of rules violations during a match, players are compelled not to stop the current game by any means and to properly finish the current side. Once the side is over, the team coach may officially ask for an investigation to tournament referee. It is strongly advised to provide valuable information that may help the tournament director in his investigation. Unjustified and repetitive use of this right may be sanctioned. 8
4.5.2 Score validation For a match both teams have to report the match score to the referee and sign the report match paper. After signing the report match paper a team can t request for an investigation Press conference Team cannot refuse to participate in an ESWC press conference, media partner request or signing session. 4.6 ESWC 2015 PGW LoL Women Format Format overview The ESWC 2015 PGW LoL Women consists of two stages: 1. Round-robin of 8 teams 2. Play-off of 4 teams Round-robin rules The round-robin is composed of 2 groups of 4 teams. The best two teams of each group are qualified for the next stage of the tournament. During the round-robin teams meet each other s in a best-of-three match (See rule 4.2.2). Each match result awards round-robin points (hereafter referred as points) as follows: 3 for a win, 0 for a defeat. If a team is disqualified or didn t finish a match during a round-robin, all his matches results within the group are cancelled and are also lost by default score of 2-0. All points won or lost are backwardly redistributed Round-robin tie-breaker rules During round-robin the teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams were equal on points on completion of the round-robin matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings: 1. Higher number of points obtained in round-robin matches played among teams tied; e.g: team A won against team B, thus team A has 3 points and team B 0 point 2. Higher map difference obtained in the round-robin matches played among the tied teams will be used. e.g: team will have a map difference of +2 for a match won 2 maps to 0 map, and a map difference of -2 for a match lost 0 map to 2maps 3. If, after applying criteria 1 to 2 to several teams, two or more teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 2 are applied exclusively to the matches between the teams in question. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 4 to 6 apply; 4. Higher map difference obtained in all the round-robin matches played by the teams still tied; 5. Lower sum of Time Ratings (see point Time Rating) in the round-robin matches played among the teams tied. 6. Lower sum of Time Ratings (see point Time Rating) obtained in all the round-robin matches played by the teams still tied. 9
4.6.4 Transition between round-robin and play-off The single-elimination bracket will use the following draw of teams after round-robin: First of group A versus second of group B First of group B versus second of group A Play-off rules Play-off consists of a single-elimination bracket format of 4 teams. All matches are played in best-ofthree (See rule 4.2.2). The winner of the semi final will advance to the final to meet the winner of the second semi final. The two losers of the semi final will play match for 3rd place. 4.7 Tournament prize break down The $25,000 of cash prize will be distributed as follows: 1st place: $10,000 2nd place: $6,000 3rd place: $3,000 4th place: $2,000 5/8th place: $1, Tournament schedule All hours are on CENTRAL EUROPEAN TIME (CET) or GMT+1.
